We are a family of four living on a sheep, beef and horticulture property. In wine country, 15mins to the beach, over looking the Hurunui River.
We are social bunch who believe that hard work should be rewarded with a great time and lots of laughs.Types of help and learning opportunities

You will get to live the real New Zealand Farm life. We make all our own bread and are trying to start a garden to grow our own food, which encourages everyones creativity.
You will be surrounded by animals and nature.
Our oldest child is passionate about Te Reo Maori and if you are interested would love to depart some of his knowledge.
We are passionate about sustainability as a household and as a farm and love to help people learn.
We are a surfing family, so if you like to surf or are keen to learn, this is a great opportunity.Projects involving children

Help
We are looking for help around the house section and with our two children. Toby (12) and Campbell (10) love to be out and about around the farm and have a very independent free range childhood, but need supervision at times. There may also be the occasional evening babysitting session. The 25hr help in exchange of full board, will differ depending on what you enjoy doing. Hopefully you love the Beach or outdoors as much as our kids, so you will have as much fun as them.
We require some help in the gardens and around the house. There will be times when there will be extra children who will need supervision.
We often have the opportunity for paid work, planting in our orchards or on farm if you are interested and have a working Visa.Languages

There is a spa in winter and a pool in summer. What else ...
In the summer we try and head to the beach in the weekends and on a nice summer evening, so if you are keen on helping pack a picnic and loading up the car, you will love it. In the Winter we try and head up the Mountain to snowboard and keep warm playing board games or watching movies in front of the fire.
Depending on what you want to do while you are in the area days off are by negotiation, so that you can take long weekends etc when it suits you.
With so much to do in North Canterbury and Kaikoura only an hours drive away, you will not run out of things to do. There will be a vehicle available for time off by negotiation.A little more information
