Description
I am a single man in my 60's living in recently renovated house in a beautiful area. I have a wide range of interests. I have travelled and always enjoy hearing the stories of others. I'm open minded and accepting. It would be great to get some help with a number of unfinished small projects around the house. There is some cleaning involved. It would nice to share some cooking and meals. I enjoy sharing what I know, but feel free to let me know if I talk too much.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I would enjoy guiding you around the area. There is a lot of natural beauty - lakes, beaches and bushland. I can share my life experiences answer any questions you have about Australia. We can teach other skills. There are some local cafes, bars and restaurants.I have been a host on couchsurfing in the past. I have learnt some German and Swedish if you don't mind letting me practise.

Help
My house has been through a big renovation. I basically need some help to declutter, organise, decorate and finish off a few things. I find I work better when I'm not on my own. The house has four bedroom, three bathroom and two living rooms. Not of the tasks are difficult and there would be plenty of time to do your own thing. I recently bought a a used sewing machine. I'd like to make some curtains and maybe reupholster some furniture. If you could give me some pointers I'd be grateful.

What else ...
The house is the Pacific Palms are. The wider area is usually called the Great Lakes or Barrington Coast. It's a popular holiday spot. Beautiful beaches, lakes and national parks. Forster-Tuncurry is a 25 minute drive away. Sydney 3 hours, Newcastle 1.5 hours south and Port Macquarie 1.5 hours north. It's not on the classic backpacker trail, but it's not a big detour. The Recky club at Elizabeth Beach is a great place to watch the sun set over Wallis Lake.
