I stayed with Danielle and Moe from November until mid-February. I had the chance to learn about the chores from a very kind other helper, and anything that came up, Danielle and Moe were more than happy to teach me.
It was a lot of work, but I always got on really well with the other helper when we did our chores, so I had a lot of fun while we

I got to know Danielle's wonderful family, both the kids and the extended relations, I miss popping over for tea and her grandma's, or supper at her mum's!
Truly a once in a lifetime experience.Left by host for Workawayer (Robyn)
We had the pleasure of hosting Robyn for about 3 months. She fit in very well with our family and we were very happy to have her. Robyn catches on to tasks very quickly and is always eager for the next task or just lend a hand when help is needed. She also is a wonderful cook, and was happy to help out in the kitchen which we really appreciated.

We had the pleasure of hosting Ana for around 5 months. Ana fit in to our family well and is easy to get along with. She is very helpful with tasks around the house /farm which I appreciated so much. Even tasks that were not expected of her she completed them without hesitation, such as vacuuming, buckling Ellis in car seat, tidying up etc. again

I spent 5 months from December to May at Danielle and Moe’s place and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better first workaway experience. You made me feel really at home, welcome and valued and I will never forget you and the experience. Thank you guys so much for opening your home and way of life to me and teaching me about mushing. Special mention

The job is intense but so much fun, the dogs are incredible and bring so much joy, and Danielle and Moe are wonderful teachers. They are patient and understanding. There isn’t a fixed schedule and some days are going to be more full than others, but you’ll never feel overworked or under appreciated. You’ll still have a lot of free time on your hands. You’ll be fully immersed in the musher lifestyle in Saskatchewan and it’s a wonderful experience. If you get the chance to go to Danielle and Moe’s place, do not hesitate!

We had the pleasure of hosting Lilith for about 1.5 months. She is very helpful around the house and out in the yard. Caught on very quickly with tasks and our son loved having her around to play with!

I m gonna miss Danielle and Moe and the animals for sure! I spent about 2 months at Danielle and Moe' s kennel and really felt welcomed and at home. The work with the dogs really fits the description. What I've found amazing is that you really feel you are an added value to the daily routine of the kennel. Danielle and Moe share their passion and
… read more knowledge about mushing with the volunteers. It was a beautiful opportunity for me to learn about mushing and to get my hands dirty doing the job.
Working with dogs basically means adjusting to the dogs' routine (dogs still need to drink/eat/play/run during weekends), so you should not expect a "office" type of schedule. Nevertheless you will have plenty of free time to explore the beautiful surroundings, read, cook, etc.
You will also have time to pet the other animals around the farm: the cats, horses and the house dogs :-) Petting the animals is a full-time job over there :-)
I also helped out with little tasks around the house (cooking, gardening, etc) but mostly because I felt like participating in the daily household routine. I was not "asked" to do so, it just felt natural to do it.
You really feel part of the kennel' team!
Danielle and Moe are amazing hosts!
Thanks so much for hosting me and making me feel like a local :-)
Hope to see you soon guys! Big hug!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
