We are living in regional Australia (Wine country, NSW) quite far from town (30min.). This would be an ideal situation for a mature person travelling. I am off home a fair bit and I do not like to leave my partner alone. He is 74 y. can walk, drive but with a bit of difficulties. He takes his time. He needs mainly someone nearby. We have dogs. Other animals will be added lateron.
Cooking / shopping
A mature person would appreciate a country life, with all its ups and downs. In 2016 the summer was quite hot. Winter a bit chilly.
The help needed is little, in a sense that I wish my partner not being alone. Help with the ride-on or whipper snipper would be appreciated. We go once or twice a week into town depending on the needs. But there is no public transport, be aware of it. The house is big but is not flashy as in a city. However you can enjoy birds, and other wildlife.
You have your own area 1 1/2 room near the common kitchen. Double bed and practically own entrance from the side. The owner is sleeping in the other area. The two areas are split in the middle by a room with TV, which gives all parties some privacy.
As mentioned previously there is no public transport. But the owner drives 1-2 / week in town. If required, arrangements can be made, but it shouldn't be at night. Otherwise, it is land life. The area is set on 27 acres, half field (no crops) half forest.
