    Description

Hey, I’m June & I live in a small village deep in the Lithuanian countryside. My biggest passions are food, photography and sharing stories.

In 2013 I bought and renovated an old house that came with a plot of land. Here, I grow my own fruit and vegetables and try to prepare all my food from scratch. I also take lots of photos of the stunning countryside & wildlife that surrounds my home.

Since it's now a few years since the house was renovated, I need to do some maintenance work, including painting the (fairly sizeable!) fence around the garden and the wood on the sides of the house and barn, painting interior walls and some gardening work.

The village is quite small and quiet with not a lot happening but is perfect if you enjoy nature and the outdoors as it is surrounded by areas of open fields and lots of forests. Go mushroom picking, watch bird migrations or just enjoy the peace and quiet. It is also just one hour from two major cities - Kaunas and Klaipeda. If you don't have a car, I can bring you to the bus station, which is just 10 km away.

Mostly, I would see this as an opportunity to experience Lithuanian village life! I can help you improve your English and introduce you to some traditional Lithuanian foods. I make most of my food from scratch, including bread, yoghurt, wine, pasta and pizza, and am happy to share these skills. I can bring you mushroom picking or on nature drives in our local area. I can also advise on places to visit nearby.

Lithuania has one of the fastest Wifi networks in the world. There is good Wifi coverage in all areas of the house. Each bedroom has a comfortable chair and a small side table for a laptop. There is also a larger work area on the shared landing.
