Description
~ spring 2025. We are looking for 1-4 volonteers from February to March. 1-2 week stays.
You will work 5hrs/day (9-15) with Louise (mostly renovations) and have your days off on the weekend.
5 hrs work: you will eat breakfast in your house (we provide you with eggs, bread, yoghurt and müsli), lunch together, sometimes dinner together or on your own, but we will prepear meals for you.
Preferably volonteers older than 21 years old. We can also host a family (we will make some kind of deal if it isn’t possible for you to work 5hrs/day)
You will stay in our small ”tinyhouse”, it is around 50 sqm and has everything you need. A kitchen, barhroom, two bedrooms (totally 4 beds).
We will provide you with breakfast, lunch and dinner, we will sometimes eat together but you will also cook for yourself. We expect you to be creative, interested in gardening and we also need help with woodworking and renovation. We live on the countryside and you can’t go anywhere without a car but we will pick you up att the trainstation and sometimes we can drive you to town, supermarket or to the trainstation. We also have some bikes and you can always go to the forest or lakes nearby.
===============
At the moment we are mainly looking for creative persons! We just moved out from our tinyhouse and moved all our belongings to our new renovated main house. The tinyhouse has everything you need but we want to make it cosy again. So we really prefer handy, independent and creative volonteers. We prefer hosting more than one volonteer but we are open to everything.
(Normally main tasks will be woodworking and renovate our house. We prefer hosting people with some kind of woodworking experience, but if you are intrested in what we do and happy to learn that is also okay. :) We also have lots of general farming and gardening tasks for you!)
We (Jens & Louise and three kids) live on a farm, 10 km from Laholm, Halland. We live in the main house and rent out two smaller houses on the farm (or use it for volonteers). We are interested in gardening, permaculture and traditional/eco building. We renovate with organic or natural materials.
Sometimes there will be kids around but we don’t expect you to look after the kids. We also two cats (Östen & Siri), sheeps and some hens.
You will stay in our guesthouse or in the campervan. Please let us know if you have some special diet (like vegan) or allergies.
We expect you to feel comfortable with doing tasks outdoors and use tools. We will do tasks outdoors even when the weather is cold or rainy. Bring good clothes (also for painting). We want you to be creative and independent and interested in organic lifestyle.Types of help and learning opportunities

She is calm as a person and incredibly helpful with all kind of tasks. She was not afraid to take her own initiative and was incredibly patient as we had a lot of planks to be painted. we really appreciated her company and hope she will visit us again. :)
We worked in a house where we did insulation, it was a pleasure to work on this project. We made some wonderful culinary discoveries.
Thanks for everything, you can go to them with your eyes closed.
It was my first workaway and so I had no expectations and was just overall very happy about my experience there.
They picked me up from the train station and made basically from this first minute on sure that I have everything I need and feel comfortable.
The work was really nice, I loved to… read more
She helped us a lot with painting, chopping wood, made clay walls and more. She already had some experience of ecobuilding which was good :)
She was really independent and easy going. She stayed in our van most of the nights (two nights spent on another farm close by), and I think… read more
