Hello ...
I'm Carlos, your host. Permaculturist, Production Engineer and Master in Sustainable Tourism Management. I have been a teacher of Sustainable Communities, advisor to governments and international NGOs. Consultant and Facilitator in Planning and Waste Management, I am dedicated to remembering and sharing.
We have a great opportunity and responsibility. To re-create a sustainable community way of living.
For this we have locations in the middle of the mountain, in La Orotava, as well as close to the beach, Punta de Hidalgo.
As a volunteer you will be in the mountain project and from where the initiative to make a food network for our families and relations is born. And we visit to support the Punta de Hidalgo project a few times a month.
Willi (RIP), German philosopher and farmer, started more than 20 years ago with Plocher technology (biocatalysis), biodynamics and permaculture, considerably regenerated an ecosystem, until it became a cultivation of fruit trees and organic matter that today we are working to understand and to continue.
For now, with these two different ecosystems and projects, we seek to develop our "Food Basket" - food chain - in a sustainable and communal way. Celebrating, regenerating the social and ecological ecosystem, interacting with other related projects in Tenerife.
We are looking for volunteers who want to be more than "on holiday", we want to teach and learn through the exchange, we want to be able to plan some work that requires more time, new constructions, etc.
We need to adapt spaces with bio-construction, implement and maintain cultivation areas, support in events and programming - in general it is necessary to support the elements of the permacultural system in their daily life: 🐕🐷🐔🐔🐴🐔🐔 to be able to continue with a life project and way of living on the earth: remembering and sharing.
We are the second generation working on it for and by the third generation TO KEEP THE FIRE OF THE PROJECT 🔥

Soy Carlos, tu anfitrión. Permacultor, Ingeniero de Producción y Maestro en Gestión del Turismo Sostenible. He sido profesor de Comunidades Sostenibles, asesor de gobiernos y ONG internacionales. Consultor y Facilitador en Planificación y Manejo de Residuos, me dedico a recordar y compartir.
Tenemos una gran oportunidad y responsabilidad. Re-crear una manera de vivir comunitaria y sostenible.
Para ello contamos con sedes en la medianía de la montaña, en la Orotava, así como cerca a la playa, Punta de Hidalgo.
Como voluntario estarás en el proyecto de montaña y desde donde nace la iniciativa de hacer red de alimentos para nuestras familias y relaciones. Y visitamos para apoyar el proyecto de la Punta de Hidalgo unas veces al mes.
Willi (qepd), alemán filósofo y agricultor-ganadero, inició hace más de 20 años con la tecnología Plocher (biocatalización), la biodinámica y la permacultura, regeneró considerablemente un ecosistema, hasta convertirlo en un cultivo de frutales y materia orgánica que hoy trabajamos por entender y por continuar.
Por ahora con estos dos ecosistemas y proyectos diferentes, buscamos desarrollar nuestra “Canasta Alimentaria” -cadena alimentaria- de manera sostenible y comunitaria. Celebrando, regenerando el ecosistema social y ecológico, inter-actuando con otros proyectos afines en Tenerife.
Buscamos voluntari@s que quieran estar más que en "vacaciones", queremos enseñar y aprender con el intercambio, queremos poder proyectar algunas labores que requieren más tiempo, nuevas construcciones, etc.
Necesitamos adecuar espacios con bioconstrucción, implementar y mantener zonas de cultivo, apoyo en los eventos y programaciones - En general es necesario el apoyo a los elementos del sistema permacultural en su cotidiano 🐕🐷🐔🐔🐴🐔🐔 , para poder continuar con un proyecto de vida y forma de vivir en la tierra: recordando y compartiendo.
Somos la segunda generación trabajando en ello para y por la tercera generación COMO CUIDADORES DEL FUEGO 🔥

Depending on the season in which you volunteer, the work will change, however, there are permanent projects in agroecology as well as in bio-construction and every day there is differentiated work both outdoors and indoors.

Accommodation
A room for you, well it depends on the season in which you volunteer 😅 ... for now we share the big house in the mountain project, however everything is being changed and adapted.
The house has a big kitchen where we love to cook, usually vegan or vegetarian, but when some friends are having a party, they grill meat ....
Una habitación para ti!, bueno depende de la estación en la que hagas el voluntariado 😅 ... por ahora compartimos la gran casa en el proyecto de montaña, sin embargo todo esta en cambio y adecuacion.
La casa tiene una gran cocina donde nos encanta cocinar, normalmente vegana o vegetariana, pero cuando algunos amigos hacen fiesta, asan carne....
What else ...
Tenerife is a big island...near the road to the farmhouse there is a bus stop...from there you connect to La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz...by taking a second bus you can go to Santa Cruz, La Laguna or Los Cristianos...it is really easy to get around using public transport!!!!!
On foot, in a few hours from the Finca, you can be at Las Cañadas del Teide!!! or many other hiking trails!!!
¡¡¡Tenerife es una gran isla...cerca del camino a la casa-granja hay una parada de autobús...desde allí se conecta con La Orotava y Puerto de la Cruz...cogiendo una segunda guagua se puede ir a Santa Cruz, La Laguna o Los Cristianos...es realmente fácil moverse usando el transporte público!!!
¡¡¡A pie, en pocas horas desde la Finca, puedes estar en Las Cañadas del Teide!!! ¡¡O muchos otros caminos de senderismo!!
