Hello!! I'm Mari, I live in a country house by the sea in El Altet, a town in Alicante (Spain), my house is also a family business: A pet hotel. We are dog breeders, trainers and of course, animal lovers. El Altet is a great area to live: it is close to Elche, Alicante and Gran Alacant where you can go out at night, go shopping, etc. and, at the same time, it is located in a beautiful natural environment (beach, dunes ...) to be able to practice different sports. Communication with other places is by bus. The ideal way to move would be to rent a car, although from our house you can also go to the town or the beach by bicycle.
The house is a large country house with two floors that correspond to two differentiated houses, with independent entrances. The ground floor is the house for you to live with autonomy and privacy. It has a kitchen, living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. Cleaning your house will depend on you. My husband and I live upstairs with our dogs. Manuel is also the owner of the business and works here with us as well. He will answer your messages. I have experience hosting young students and volunteers for many years, who have also become part of my foreign family. I only speak Spanish, although my husband is from England and Manuel also speaks English. If you feel like coming, you need to be able to communicate with me in Spanish.
The help we need includes carrying out possible customer service tasks, house maintenance, cleaning the animals (cleaning the cages, walking dogs, feeding them, etc.) and gardening tasks in the field (gardens).
We are looking for people with experience in gardening, using field tools, who like animals and have good skills with them, who are impetuous and active to help me in all my daily tasks. I insist that I live in the countryside and here there is always work to be done. To come, you must be willing to take on hard work with animals.

Hola!! Soy Mari, vivo en una casa de campo al lado del mar en El Altet, un pueblo de Alicante (España), mi casa es también un negocio familiar: Un hotel de mascotas. Somos criadores de perros, adiestradores y por supuesto, amantes de los animales. El Altet es una zona genial para vivir: está cerca de Elche, Alicante y Gran Alacant donde poder salir por la noche, ir de compras, etc. y, al mismo tiempo, está localizado en un bonito entorno natural (playa, dunas...) para poder practicar diferentes deportes. La comunicación con otros lugares es mediante autobús. Lo ideal para moverte sería alquilar un coche, aunque desde nuestra casa podrás ir al pueblo o a la playa también en bicicleta.
La casa es una gran casa de campo con dos plantas que corresponden a dos viviendas diferenciadas, con entradas independientes. La planta de abajo es la vivienda para que vivas tú con autonomía y privacidad. Tiene cocina, salón, una habitación y un baño. La limpieza de tu casa dependerá de ti. En la planta de arriba vivimos mi marido y yo con nuestros perros. Manuel es también dueño del negocio y trabaja aquí con nosotros también. El responderá vuestros mensajes. Tengo experiencia acogiendo a jóvenes estudiantes y voluntarios durante muchos años, que han llegado a convertirse también en parte de mi familia extranjera. Yo solamente hablo español, aunque mi marido es de Inglaterra y Manuel habla también inglés. Si te apetece venir, es necesario que puedas comunicarte conmigo en español.
La ayuda que necesitamos incluye realizar posibles labores de atención a clientes, mantenimiento de la casa, limpieza de los animales (limpiar las jaulas, pasear perros, alimentarlos, etc.) y tareas de jardinería en el campo (jardines).
Estamos buscando personas con experiencia en jardinería, usar herramientas de campo, que les gusten los animales y tengan buenas habilidades con ellos, que sean impetuosos y activos para ayudarme en todas mis tareas diarias. Insisto en que vivo en el campo y aquí siempre hay trabajo que realizar. Para venir, debes estar dispuesto a asumir un trabajo duro con animales.

Public transport connections are somewhat complicated, although buses run from the town of El Altet to all the surroundings :) From our hotel to town you can move by car or bicycle (5min).

Si te gustan los animales, podrás aprender el cuidado diario que necesitan y ejercicios de adiestramiento con profesionales. Si tienes suerte y alguna perra da a luz, podrás aprender a ayudar en el proceso de nacimiento y cría de cachorritos y el cuidado de la madre. Además de lo relacionado con los animales, podrás descubrir la estupenda gastronomías española, disfrutar de nuestra cultura, de la vida nocturna de la costa española y disfrutar la vida natural de El Altet, que estamos seguros de que te encantará ya que está llena de posibilidades. Las conexiones de transporte público son algo complicadas, aunque desde el pueblo de El Altet salen autobuses a todos los alrededores :) Desde nuestro hotel al pueblo podrás moverte en coche o bicicleta (5min).

Nos gusta practicar surf, somos apasionados del mar y cualquier tipo de plan al aire libre, nos gusta viajar en nuestra furgoneta: Vanlife.
