  Hi, my name is Miguel, and I live in the picturesque town of Saint-Claude, nestled in the mountains of the beautiful island of Guadeloupe. I am currently working on transforming a piece of land, once overgrown with trees and weeds, into an experimental garden that will one day welcome visitors and inspire them to create their own. My approach combines techniques I’ve acquired from growing up in Puerto Rico, living in New England, and traveling across Europe and the Americas. My goal is to bring all of these influences together to make a lasting impact on this little paradise I now call home. Looking ahead, I hope to add a couple of cabins to the garden, so visitors can enjoy a truly immersive experience surrounded by nature.
  
  Bonjour, je m’appelle Miguel et je vis dans la pittoresque commune de Saint-Claude, nichée dans les montagnes de la belle île de la Guadeloupe. Je travaille actuellement à transformer un terrain autrefois envahi par les arbres et les broussailles en un jardin expérimental qui, un jour, pourra accueillir des visiteurs et les inspirer à créer le leur. Mon approche combine les techniques que j’ai acquises en ayant grandi à Porto Rico, en ayant vécu en Nouvelle-Angleterre et au fil de mes voyages à travers l’Europe et les Amériques. Mon objectif est de réunir toutes ces influences pour avoir un impact durable sur ce petit paradis que j’appelle désormais chez moi. À terme, j’aimerais y ajouter quelques cabanes afin que les visiteurs puissent profiter d’une expérience véritablement immersive au cœur du jardin.
  
  Hola, me llamo Miguel y vivo en el pintoresco pueblo de Saint-Claude, enclavado en las montañas de la hermosa isla de Guadalupe. Actualmente estoy trabajando en transformar un terreno que antes estaba cubierto de árboles y maleza en un jardín experimental que, algún día, podrá recibir visitantes e inspirarlos a crear el suyo propio. Mi enfoque combina las técnicas que adquirí al haber crecido en Puerto Rico, haber vivido en Nueva Inglaterra y a lo largo de mis viajes por Europa y las Américas. Mi objetivo es reunir todas estas influencias para dejar un impacto duradero en este pequeño paraíso que ahora llamo hogar. A futuro, me gustaría añadir unas cabañas al jardín para que los visitantes puedan disfrutar de una experiencia verdaderamente inmersiva en plena naturaleza.

  I have a cat and a dog, both well-trained and independent. I don’t mind smokers, as long as they don’t smoke inside the house. This is a quiet, nature-focused environment — no parties or loud music are allowed. Please note that while we don’t mind sharing the occasional meal, you will have your own kitchen and will be responsible for your own food.
  
  J’ai un chat et un chien, tous deux bien éduqués et indépendants. Je n’ai rien contre les fumeurs, à condition qu’ils ne fument pas à l’intérieur de la maison. Ici, l’environnement est calme et tourné vers la nature — les fêtes et la musique forte ne sont pas autorisées. Merci de noter que, même si nous ne sommes pas contre partager un repas de temps en temps, vous disposerez de votre propre cuisine et serez responsable de votre propre alimentation.
  
  Tengo un gato y un perro, ambos bien educados e independientes. No tengo problema con los fumadores, siempre que no fumen dentro de la casa. Este es un entorno tranquilo y enfocado en la naturaleza — no se permiten fiestas ni música alta. Ten en cuenta que, aunque no tenemos inconveniente en compartir alguna comida de vez en cuando, tendrás tu propia cocina y serás responsable de tu propia alimentación.

  An independent, stand-offish, and full-of-character island cat who believes everyone — even us — are just guests in her house. She prefers to make the first move, but, oddly enough, she gets along with our dog.
