Description
Welcome to our Hostel, a beautiful 100-year-old colonial house in Jericó, Antioquia, one of Colombia's most charming heritage towns, surrounded by mountains, coffee farms, rivers, and incredible nature.
We are four close friends who created this place with the dream of offering more than just a place to stay. We want our volunteers to become part of our Colombian family, experience our culture, traditions, food, and way of life, while enjoying a meaningful cultural exchange.
Our team also includes two locally paid staff members: Juan, who helps with reception, housekeeping, and the daily operation of the hostel, and Alcides, who is in charge of maintenance. Workawayers support us with light daily tasks while sharing experiences and learning alongside our team.

Our Workawayers won't be just volunteers - they'll become part of our Colombian family. The owners and our main staff are all Colombian, so volunteers will have the opportunity to experience our culture, traditions, history, food, and way of life in a genuine and authentic way. We love sharing the real Colombia with our guests and helping them understand the country beyond the typical tourist experience.
As the hostel manager, I will personally make sure our volunteers feel welcome and supported. I'll spend time with them, cook together, share stories, and show them the best of Jericó, a beautiful town rich in colonial and Indigenous history. We also enjoy learning from our volunteers, hearing about their cultures, and creating meaningful friendships through the exchange. -
Help
As a volunteer, you'll help us with the daily tasks that keep our hostel welcoming and comfortable. Your main responsibilities include cleaning common areas and guest rooms, taking care of our beautiful garden, and helping maintain the warm atmosphere that makes this Hostel special.
More than anything, we want our guests to feel at home, and we'd love for you to help create that experience with your kindness and positive energy.. During your stay, we hope you'll feel like part of our family, not just a volunteer. -

The town is also known for its charming cafés, independent bookstores, art galleries, and seven museums that tell the story of the region. Throughout the year, Jericó hosts music, cultural, and art festivals that bring the town to life.
