    Description

I am a single guy of 82 - but act and look much younger - and I have been undertaking forestry research since 2001 to address salinity locally and climate change, globally.

My inherent divining talent has been developed for numerous applications and I teach it at universities and schools in Nepal where they are more open to spirituality.

In the past I had many wonderful experiences with people from many different countries - one Chinese lady emailed me when she got home and wrote: "You were my first host and the best host out of the 10 where I volunteered." What a wonderful compliment.

My 242Ha property was severely salt-degraded when I purchased it in 2001, now it is a forest and home to a growing number of wild animals. I have twice been a finalist in the 'World Environment Day Awards'.

My home is a modest two bedroom transportable that is 'off the grid' - I rely on solar power and rainwater.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I went to England when I was young and had a good education - I love helping people improve their English, if that is one of the things they want. If they are open minded about divining - which I have taken to a whole new level - I love to teach this which has a vast number of applications - of which, most people are not aware. One is to diagnose what elements are missing from people's diets - which can result in different ailments such as the different forms of arthritis when they get older - golden Staph which is so often contracted in hospitals, and how to avoid getting cancer. These have been proven but sadly the medical and pharmsceutical companies only want to sell expensive medications

    Accommodation

The home is a 2005 built, two bedroom transportable home that is 'off grid' relying on solar power for electricity and heating water - which is rainwater. Space warming is provided by burning firewood. Sharing cooking is a great way to gain new experiences I am gluten intolerant and welcome people with any dietry requirements.

I will provide all the food during the stay - we will go shopping together and volunteers are free to cook their specialities. So many volunteers have been keen to demonstrate their skills in this area.

    What else ...

Volunteers are met up with in Perth - to see if all parties feel they will be able to get on with each other - and they are driven to the property which is located in the district of Minnivale,180kms by road from Perth. I go to Perth for a couple of days every couple of weeks, and in the past, volunteers have booked into backpacker accommodation so they can explore the city.

I am a bit of a hermit - and the many wwoofers who have stayed with me in the past have been happy with this lifestyle. Several have returned as we have become good friends. SMOKING and DRUGS are NOT PERMITTED ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY - this is not open for discussion. Anyone who is on found guilty of this will have to find their own way back to the city. There is not any public transport available.
