Description
I’m Ivar, born and raised in Iceland. For years this land was just “home” — glaciers, volcanoes, waterfalls, black sand beaches....I hardly noticed them. Then I lived abroad for a while, and when I moved back, I rediscovered it all with new eyes. It felt like waking up to life and realizing how lucky I am to call this place home.
I love to travel myself, but I’m allergic to package tourism....the kind where you’re rushed from one stop to the next, just snapping a picture without ever soaking in the experience. For me, travel is about slowing down, feeling the place, and letting it change you.
That’s why I started this small adventure company. Iceland is just the backdrop. The real purpose is to share what it feels like to be fully alive....to wake people up to nature, movement, and adventure.
It’s not a big organisation, it’s just me leading it for now, and I’d love to host someone creative who wants to help capture this journey through film and storytelling.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This isn’t just about visiting Iceland... it’s about experiencing it. You’ll get to see both the iconic places and the hidden corners most travellers never reach, not from a bus window, but by actually being there.
You’ll learn what it’s like to travel with purpose... moving, creating, and soaking in the moment rather than rushing through it. Along the way, you’ll see how Icelanders live with this landscape, and you’ll hear stories of the culture and the land that shaped it.
Creatively, you’ll gain the experience of turning raw adventures into finished films and reels... and you’ll be part of shaping how a young adventure brand tells its story. It’s a chance to practice storytelling that goes beyond “snapping a picture”... to capture what a place feels like.
And the exchange goes both ways... you bring your eye, creativity, and perspective, and in return you’ll leave with memories, skills, and a way of seeing Iceland....and maybe yourself, differently.
Help
The main help I’m looking for is creative: filming and editing.
*Travel with me around Iceland...glaciers, waterfalls, volcanoes, hot springs, black sand beaches.
*Capture the journey on film in a way that tells a story, not just a postcard.
*Edit clips into short reels and films that can be shared online.
*Bring your own ideas to the table....I value collaboration and creativity.
If you can do the full process from filming through to editing, that’s ideal. But if you’re stronger in one area (shooting, editing, or storytelling), I’d still love to hear from you. Passion, capability, and creativity matter most.
This isn’t about “snapping a pic and moving on.” It’s about capturing what it really feels like to be here and turning it into something alive....without stalling or losing the flow of the journey.

Accommodation
You’ll stay in a mix of places depending on where we are...
*My apartment in the heart of downtown Reykjavík when we’re in the city.
*Our home in the countryside when we’re outside the capital.
*Possibly in caravan or guesthouse when we’re on the road exploring different regions.
What else ...
Free time & local sights;
When you’re not filming, traveling or editing, there’s plenty to do... Iceland is one big playground.
On days off or during downtime, you can:
*Soak in natural hot springs, geothermal pools, or traditional Icelandic saunas and baths
*Hike in the mountains, explore lava fields, or walk along black sand beaches
*Visit small villages and experience everyday Icelandic life
*Watch the northern lights
Transport is included when we’re traveling together for the project. For personal time, buses connect most towns, though things can be a bit spread out... that’s part of Iceland’s charm.
Life here is simple, but the nature and a bit of curiosity make every day feel alive.
