Description
Dear Workawayers,
The Farm has been pioneering in natural, ecological and sustainable farming since 2002. We are a certified organic farm set over 1.7 km2 mainly focusing on growing vegetables from natural seeds with no fertilizers or pesticides.
We have a stable team of 8 women working on the farm, and get extra labor for demanding and specialty jobs, we don't expect our volunteers to keep up with them, they are professionals and have been doing this their entire life.
We use ideas from old wisdom, natural farming, ecologic sustainable systems, and mostly from plants themselves...

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our founder Berin is renowned in teaching principals of organic/natural farming as well as headaches of managing an organic farm, with more then 25 years of experience so your experience here will be an eye-opening one.
You can also learn how any plant is produced from seed to produce, how to grow without fertilizers utilizing natures own tools to replenish soil, even some natural tricks farmers do to make things taste better. :)
Help
Aiding in seasonal farming activities (planting, hoeing, collecting, packaging)
Helping with the rain water collection and irrigation systems (we are starting on our project)
Doing general maintenance of the houses and grounds
Helping with the dogs (we have 1 male Labrador, 2 cats, and chickens)
Also we are open to anyone with projects for up-cycling leftover vegetables as we hate to throw away anything
