    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

As native English speakers and would be happy to help you improve your English skills and learn more about Irish and British culture (we are British but have been living in Ireland for more than 6 years). In exchange we would love to learn your language and about your culture and traditions.

We are involved with the local Gaelic football and hurling club and there would be an opportunity to watch and learn about these exciting uniquely Irish games. There will be opportunities to attend matches with us at local stadiums.

You will be welcome to share in our family meal times and activities to help practice language skills and learn more about British and Irish life and culture.

Many of the local pubs offer the opportunity to listen to live Traditional music on a regular basis.

Cork city is a short train ride away and offers an array of cultural and social opportunities.

We would like workawayers to feel like part of the family.

  • Help

    Help

We have a number of different projects that we are working on in the garden and grounds having some extra people on hand who are keen to help with some of there would be great. There is always a big variety of things to be done ranging from grass cutting and strimming, clearing and securing areas for some of the rescue animals we foster.

Over the next few weeks/months we would also like to welcome someone that could help us free up some time by helping out. We have a work project (working from our office at home) that we are looking to complete as soon as we can and having an extra pair of hands around the place would be really helpful in giving us some time to complete it.

We would also be happy if someone wanted to do some of both types of task! We would welcome couples and single people alike.

Ideally we would like someone who would spend some time helping the kids to learn some of your native language.
