Description
Hola! We are a family of 6 with four children aged 14,6,4 and 2. We recently spent about 2 years traveling after leaving the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawai'i in the United States. We live most of the year in a tiny beach town 6.5 hours outside of Panama City, Panama. The other months of the year we are based out of San Antonio, Texas.
Darnell is a retired veteran and Summer is a traveling birth worker. Our kids are very active and enjoy the freedom of unrestricted outdoor play. Our children spend the mornings working on school work (our older 3 are homeschooled and the middle two attend a local forest school when we are in Panama). In the evenings, they attend activities like Jiu-Jitsu, surfing (in Panama), swimming in the pool/ocean, and playing with friends until the sun goes down. We remain active and value quality time with friends outdoors.
((We plan to return to Panama in May of 2024 and are open to continuing a Workaway stay at our home in Playa Venao, Panama as well).

San Antonio is home to a lot of historical sites like the River Walk, several local missions and of course the Alamo. There are a lot of tourism sites to visit and places to wander downtown that offer educational but fun experiences!

What else ...
There are many museums to visit and historical sites to see that can be accessed by public transportation, there is a bus stop within a few minutes walking distance at the neighborhood's entrance. There are plenty of lively nightlife opportunities and fun events like comedy clubs. Austin, Texas is only about an hour away with many more places to visit. San Antonio is home to many amazing, authentic Tex-Mex and BBQ restaurants like Blacks BBQ.
