Description
We are a family of four. Nele (Belgian), Tarık (Turkish), Eren (7 years) and Sena (5 years old). We have a house with a garden, a vegetable garden in front of the house, an olive garden next to the house, 5 chicken, a cat and a bigger olive garden in a village close by.
İn the Spring and Summer, we are mainly looking for help with the children (playing, babysitting, teaching language), the household, feeding the chicken, maintaining the vegetable garden and orchard. İn November-December we need a lot of help with the harvest and processing of olives.
We live in Milas. Milas is an small city with a lot of historical sites close by 30 minutes from Ören, a very pitoresk coastal place with a calm sea and a pebble beach. One hour drive from Bodrum, a famous coastal place with a busy night life.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Not just a Turkish exchange but also an exchange with Belgium is awaiting you. We like travelers being a part of the family, having dinner together, spending time together. You could learn a lot about olive trees and harvesting olives and making olive oil. But also about gardening, making cheese and children.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
İn the summer (from may till end september) we need help around the house and the garden, like feeding the animals, collecting eggs, watering the vegetables, weeding the garden, taking care of the olive trees and playing with the children. İn November-December-January we need help for the harvest of olives, sorting olives, making olive oil and taking care of the trees. The olive harvest takes two-three weeks and is a full day work. Around the house work takes a couple of hours per day.
