    Description

Space available now for immediate start. Must be OK to share room with other volunteer of similar age.

Our goal is to maintain and grow a living environment and space, where people can come, be in community around like other open minded people, and learn about the importance of love and healing - both ourselves and this beautiful Earth we call home. Creating a brighter future for the health and wellbeing of the Earth and all inhabitants is our core ethos.

We want people with soul, people with interest in gardening and horticulture, renovating old buildings, creating retreat space, developing environmentally friendly and sustainable facilities, meeting other tourists and travelers, healing arts etc. A willingness to learn and engage is always a plus. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and as a team we work together to support each other and make each day as enjoyable as possible.

Hello :) We are a family of 7, 5 living at home, with 4 dogs, 2 cows, Simpson the horse, a pond of ducks and our friendly farmyard cats!

Siobhan and Bridget run the small holistic health clinic (currently using space in the home house until our upgraded premises is ready), and we will continue to expand our healing toolbox, alongside other therapists . Most of our current effort are to push forward with the permaculture gardens and set-up of retreat space and eco-hub.

Mom, Bridget is the nurturer of the family and lands and she needs help. We each use our strengths to support the vision. We are so grateful for all the helping hands along the way, together we can help heal the planet.

Bridget is a Medical Herbalist and Naturopath, and produces her medicines using herbs from the organic gardens.
I, Siobhan, am Dietitian and Holistic Health Coach. I currently recovering from illness, so I need to practice care with my energies at this time.

Alison is an arty 24 year old, with baby on board :)
Shannon 22 is a student and loves long walks, music concerts, going to town and enjoying life.
Desmond, 18 is a student - he enjoys beekeeping, camping and the outdoors. He also runs a dog caring centre.

We all love the outdoors and share great respect for Mother Earth.

Caring for mother Earth is the primary ethos of our place. It is also really important for us to maintain a healthy environment with quality food, water, natural healing tools and a nice community feel with love and kindness, accessible to others from all walks in life.

We would love to welcome you to our home and if you could offer help with the gardens, clean up, caring for the animals, and/or renovations that would be fantastic.

There's always plenty of food and company around, and we invite volunteers to make themselves at home :)

Some artwork on the walls of our buildings is on my radar too, but painting is not my art of choice so maybe someone out there could shed some light with ideas and designs too.

We need help for the permaculture fields, if you have an interest and willingness to learn this is always suffice :). Bridget is an organic grower. We welcome help and regeneration in the the maintenance of our lands.

Gardening help: help with the organic produce and herbs, mowing lawns, helping set up for workshops, indoor clean up, as well as help renovating and re-decorating the buildings.

We have a small guesthouse, next to our home house too - which is a cosy retreat space, and great place to meet other travellers.

Preparing herb products, developing recipes etc.

General help in the house - Currently trying to de-clutter the house and send all un-necessaries to the charity stores!

It would be great to have someone experienced with horses to give Simpson his regular care and take him out for a ride if you like. He is a darling.

Helpers will have comfortable accomodation in the guesthouse next to our home family house.

There is always a wholesome and plentiful supply food available.

We offer meals/ food to prepare own. And you are most welcome to get busy in the guesthouse kitchen.
We usually all have meals together on weekdays and I try to cook or assign a willing chef for the day! If you prefer to cook for yourself that's fine too.

You will have a comfortable bed, and use of shared bathroom, communal areas etc. We ask that quiet hours at night are respected, as this is our home and we need our sleep.
Use of showers, etc. Bedrooms are often shared with another volunteer of similar age and gender - please specify if you are NOT open to room sharing.

    What else ...

If your taking trips we are happy to drop you to local bus stop or you can use a bicycle.

We live 1 mile from forestry and a bogland in Rural County Meath.

Local activities include horse riding, cycling, hiking, and there is a local gym in Carlanstown.

We are easy going people and enjoy life's simplicity, we like to keep drama to a minimum.

There is a shop/cafe/deli 1 mile away and closest village, Carlanstown (3.5miles), and town Kells (7 miles away), we sometimes go to Drogheda or Navan too as these are bigger towns - a family member will offer you lifts if you want to tag along on trips to town.

We do have a 7 day probation policy - to ensure both guests and hosts are comfortable and working well together.

The happier you are, the better it is for everyone, so we encourage open communication always.
