Description
We’re looking for someone with skills in plumbing, irrigation, carpentry, or engineering to help us with some hands-on projects around our small, old farmhouse—just 20 minutes outside of Florence.
We're a couple and our friend doing our best to live sustainably. We have a vegetable garden that always needs a little love, and we're passionate about foraging, preserving, and experimenting with fermentation.
There's also plenty of time to explore nearby Florence, relax, and soak in the peaceful Tuscan countryside.
Right now, we’re especially in need of someone with building experience—whether that’s carpentry, irrigation systems, or a general knack for fixing things. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You’ll be living with me Michela, Waverly, Marta. It’s a bilingual household. Marta is a shiatsu operator and qigong teacher, Waverly is a therapist, and Michela a cook.. they’ll learn about the Italian approach to food, from seasonal gardening to traditional preservation techniques, and get a taste of Tuscany's culinary heritage.
The mix of American and Italian hosts offers a unique perspective on cultural exchange, where they’ll enjoy everything from lively Italian meal traditions to the open and curious spirit we try to bring to everything we do. This experience will allow them to pick up some Italian, develop an appreciation for Italian traditions, and gain insights into sustainable practices in a welcoming, cross-cultural home.Help
