    Description

    Hi!
My partner and I live in a village south of Berlin (about an hour - an hour and a half by train from Berlin depending on where you want to go). The village is based around a large beautiful lake which is about 900m from our house. We are right by beautiful forests and fields and the village is quiet and peaceful.

We have 2 cats, 2 bunnies and 7 guinea pigs. The bunnies and guinea pigs have their own room and are free roam. The cats are very snuggly and sweet. They really looove snuggling up. The bunnies love going outside in our little garden to stretch their legs and the guinea pigs have the biggest personalities.

Our house is quite small but you'll have everything you need and we recently had glass fibre internet installed in the village so wifi is good for working at home in our study room.

We have bikes and inflatable kayaks you can use as well as a fire pit to sit around in the garden.
It's a bit far for daily commute to Berlin but is accessible for day trips from two train stations not too far from our house (by bus.) But if you want a quiet peaceful time away from the big city then it is ideal.

It is a quiet village with not to much English spoken but our neighbours can speak a bit of English and are really lovely. You should have no problems in the shops without German ability.
Berlin is accessible enough for day trips if you want to go explore the city.
Mostly nature around. A lot lakes in the wider area, fields with cows, lots of forests for mushroom picking.

    Help

We would need a petsitter to come and stay at our house and look after our animals.
The cats need feeding morning and evening and their toilet box emptied when needed.
The bunnies and guineas get fed once in the evenings but they need to have hay constantly. I would prefer their salads for the first few days and then you would just need to chop up some vegetables for their food.
Their area also would need a quick poo sweep in the mornings and evenings. I would do a full clean and change of their bedding and boxes before and after I leave.

    Accommodation

A small house with bedroom, living room, study and the animal room that used to be a small dining room. (and kitchen and bathroom of course.)
We have a small private garden out back with grass and some plants. You can use any basic food supplies you can find and we can get a few things you like beforehand.
We have Netflix and a large TV. If you need anything specific feel free to ask and we can try to accommodate.
Could host couples or small families. There is only one bedroom but the couch pulls out to a small double bed.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In Germany Sundays are quiet days, and being in a village it is more noticeable. So no loud music outside or machinery and shops are all closed. And no smoking please.
