    Description

Welcome to Australia and to my corner of the world. Rye is where we live which is on the Mornington Peninsula. A truly stunning part of the south of Victoria, and right on the beach, where you can visit the bay or go for a bike ride to visit the back beaches for the big waves.

The room is currently available for females only. Thank you for your understanding. 🙏

I am a single mamma with 2 teenagers, one here full-time, one here part-time. The house is relatively quiet, but there are a lot of soft furry friends around. There's our 15 year aged cat named Lady Bailey, a boy cat named Kit, and more recent additions, a 9-month-old Spoodle dog and lop ear bunny.

I welcome an extra pair of hands. There are many tasks that need my attention while I work away at building my empire. (LOL) They are mainly domestic tasks to keep the house running. I really could use a hand cleaning the windows!
I would love to exchange a private room and cosy home for your help with all the domestic tasks of running a house. Cooking and cleaning being on the top of my list.

Amongst many creative projects and interests, I am an artist running a face painting and entertainment business from home.

We are a walk from all the to cafe's, restaurants, and supermarket, and most importantly from the beach.

This is a tourist town that goes quiet in winter and comes alive and is super busy in summer. We are, of course, in the middle of the summer overflow.

If you want to venture into Melbourne, there are buses from Rye that will take you to Frankston, where the first train line is to Melbourne CBD.

I love good, healthy conscious eating, a good conversation on anything, taking lightly the days, meditating, yoga, and simply enjoying this precious life. There is time for work, for play, for creating, and time also for quiet and reflection. Drop me a line.

I look forward to connecting with you

    THE EXCHANGE

I ask for up to 5 hours of your time per day, generally Monday to Friday.

    What I would love for you to help me with;

General House keeping | Weeding | Meal prep / cooking | Some laundry tasks

The windows really need a clean through the house and this is 1st priority.
To meal prep and cook at least 3 meals a week. Preferably vegetarian based.
We love Poke bowls, dhals, curries, salads, soups and broths and home made pasta of course.
If you have recipes you love and want to share we welcome this a lot. We love trying different dishes.
If you can follow a cook book well then you can try some new dishes.

I need help gardening: Weeding and watering. Even lawn mowing if you are confident or willing to learn if you have no experience. It is a humble garden that can use an extra pair of hands

You will have a private room with a double bed and all your linen and towels
There is a shared bathroom. I have my own powder room so there's 2 toilets.
A fully equiped kitchen to cook anything and everything.
A very spacious lounge room with room to dance, yoga, get fit or lay down and rest and watch a movie on Netflix.
There is also a desk you can make use of should you want to set up an area for you to use..

    We have internet.

I would love a positively minded, can do attitude kind of person who considers themselves practical and organised and is willing to give things a go.

I value open communication and honesty, cleanliness and order. I am flexible and love to chat and learn and create.
An open, organised and tidy person would suit our household with self awareness.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

If this sounds like a home you would like drop me a line and let's get the conversation started.

    Namaste

    What else ...

In your free time. We live in in the Mornington Peninsula where you are at the heart of the most stunning beaches and ocean. The ocean is something to respect as it is wild and can be ferocious. If you are not a really strong swimmer I would stay out of the back beaches and enjoy the calm of the bay.

There are many walking tracks and bike adventures you can do. Horse riding to the ocean and dolphin spotting are all close by. Buses are available to take you to all the other beachside towns. It takes about 1 17 minutes by bus from Rye to the nearest train station in Frankston. There is also the Peninsula Hot Springs close by for a pamper day. A 40 minute bike ride should you be up for it.

As I work from home there will be times I need the house to be quiet. Otherwise I am happy for you to enjoy the space. We rarely put the TV on unless it is for a movie at night or the kids are watching a show for some down time. We love music and I play the guitar whenever I get the chance. I could teach you some chords!
