We are Victor and Raquel, and our two daughters, Aran and Neu, as well as our dog, Pitu. Our home is an old farmhouse with many possible projects.

Herlufmagle itself is well-located, offering the perfect mix of rural serenity and easy access to Næstved. Plus, it’s just a short drive from Copenhagen, making it convenient for trips to the city whenever we want to explore more urban activities. The area combines the best of both worlds—nature and proximity to the conveniences of modern life.

We are a Spanish family who have been living in Denmark for 6 years. We’re excited to welcome Workawayers and provide opportunities for them to connect with us and the local community. We plan to organize activities where Workawayers can interact with our family, like small gatherings, work sessions, and visits to local spots. Aran, our active daughter, will likely be eager to engage with volunteers, while Neu is still too young but surrounded by a warm, welcoming environment.

As for skills, we can share our knowledge of gardening, DIY projects, and home improvements, as well as insights into Spanish culture and cuisine. We’re also happy to teach some Spanish language and cooking.

By hosting people from different cultures, we hope to learn about their unique perspectives and ways of living, expanding our understanding of different traditions and practices, and sharing our own experiences as a family that has adapted to life in Denmark.

In our small farmhouse, we have several exciting and family-oriented projects planned. We're thinking about building a small wooden terrace, setting up a cozy outdoor barbecue, creating a space for sheep, and working on our garden to make the space more functional and welcoming for our family.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable starting the day early, or at least doesn’t mind aligning their working hours with the rhythm of our household — especially with two small children who start their day around 6:30 AM. We can agree on a clear and consistent schedule of 5 hours of work per day, mostly in the morning and early afternoon, so there’s still plenty of free time later in the day.

Most tasks are outdoors and non-technical — we focus on safe, creative, and manageable projects that contribute to a cozy and nature-connected home.

We’d also love to find someone flexible with workdays: we prefer help on weekends, with days off taken during the week, as that’s when one of us is more available to collaborate or give instructions.

As for childcare, babysitting won’t be required, but our older daughter, Aran, is very active and will likely want to interact with you. Our baby, Neu, is just a few months old and will be with Raquel, who is currently on maternity leave.

We can provide a clean and secure place to sleep. We are looking for a couple or two people who can share a double bedroom in our home. Our house has spacious areas, including a living room with a fireplace, a reading area, and a 3000m² garden. We also have bicycles available for use, so there’s plenty to enjoy here.

As for food, we’re happy to share meals with our Workawayers, and you can expect a mix of Danish and Spanish cuisine, as we are originally from Spain. We’ll make sure there is always something delicious to enjoy!

    What else ...

During their time off, Workawayers can explore the beautiful countryside around Herlufmagle, enjoy bike rides through the area, or take a trip to nearby Næstved for shopping, dining, and exploring local attractions. Copenhagen is also just a short drive away if they want to experience city life, museums, or the vibrant culture.

As for our lifestyle, we’re a family that values peace, respect, and quality time together. We like to have a balance between work and relaxation, and we aim to create a calm and welcoming environment at home.

One important house rule is that smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house and in front of the children, as we want to ensure a healthy environment for our family. Additionally, we are not able to offer a vegan diet, as we are omnivores and, with a small child, we don't have the time to plan separate or balanced vegan meals. Other than that, we encourage open communication and a friendly, respectful atmosphere.
