Description
Greetings! I am a single person on a beautiful island close to Seattle. My pastoral, flat sunny 3 acre property runs along a creek with a house and shop (with inlaw suite, skylights, and high ceiling, private deck). Property is rural but also a 5 minute drive to the sweet town of Winslow, and a 7 min drive to the ferry into downtown Seattle.
I have dreams of growing food, building raised beds, and creating community. Workaway seemed like a good place to start to find like minded people looking for a place to share skills in exchange for an amazing place to stay short or longer term if it’s a good fit.Types of help and learning opportunities

Mother in law suite in separate shop space. High ceilings, skylights, window into sweet chicken coop. Composting toilet, fridge, microwave. No running water in outbuilding but restroom and shower in main house as well as use of full kitchen there.
What else ...
Beautiful area in nature and close to Seattle. Abundant hiking trails and close access to city life as well. Feels rural but easy trip in to town and access to 35 min ferry to downtown Seattle. Walkable and private with 2 acre yard.

Limited internet access

Can host families
Can host digital nomads
Great WiFi and close to Seattle tech downtown. I have 2 children 7 and 10 half time but the guest quarters are in an outbuilding so not with my children. I am hoping for light child engagement and help but not resembling heavy child care. I am always around my kids and I rarely leave them for more than an hour or 2 with childcare. Duties would be some light prep while they are at school, possible school pickup, and maybe a weekly nature walk as well as general hellos in passing in the yard as they love to help with projects, especially gardening and art.
Space for parking camper vans
Great lot for RV’s with septic. No rough vehicles accepted.
Can possibly accept pets
I am able to accept a pet only for people with an RV, otherwise I can host someone with a cat but no other animals. Long term, a dog could be considered but it would be situational.
