Description
Hi there,
We are a couple from the Netherlands that has been living in Sweden (Hedemora) for over 20 years. We are a joined family with six children, all flown out and enjoy being active with either sports or card and boardgames.
We have an 11 years old Golden Retriever, called Leya. A very friendly friend of the family. She enjoys walks in the nature around our house and loves having company.
Also our two cats love her and often they cuddle with her. All animals are in good health although the cats must be pretty old by now. Leya is showing signs of getting older, she is not getting up as quick as in her earlier days and she cannnot do very long walks anymore.
On the premises are two cottages with a great surrounding view over the fields to the next small village, 1.5 km away. The cottages are for our visitors/guests and family.
In our backyard the forrest begins. Perfect for long walks.
We live on a quiet, dead-end gravel street with one friendly neighbour.
There is a small town nearby (Hedemora) with a trainstation and the trainride to Stockholm Airport is only 1,5 h, and Stockholm City, 1 hour 50 minutes.
One of us is a vegan and we prefer vegetarian and vegan cooking in our kitchen. -

If you enjoy quietness and living close to nature than this place will fill your needs. You can enjoy the view over the fields all day long. The city of hedemora does have some cultural exchange possibillities but it is rather small. Some larger cities with museums are about an hour drive away.

Help
We are looking for someone or a couple who can take care of our dog Leya, the cats and the garden.
The housesitting includes taking Leya out for a stroll three times a day. Also the two cats need some love and affection as well as a clean litter box every day.
Inside the house we have some plants who are precious to us and they need watering almost every day and the garden outside needs taken care of.
Our home is tidy and neat and it is quite important for us that it is kept in the same condition.
We are looking for someone from the 10th of July until the beginning of August. -

Accommodation
You can use one of our cottages we have on the premises as a bedroom during your stay. We have the cottages on a rental platform but will have them removed for bookings during the period we are on vacation so they can be used for housesitters.
The area is very safe and quiet. It is a dead end gravel street with one neighbour 300 meters away and we have a very friendly elderly couple as neighbours next to us. There is a farm with cows and horses on the corner. There is a river close by (Dalälven). -

Good wifi in the house. The connection in the guest area downstairs is more limited but it is always possible to use it in the main house. The cottages do not have wifi. Neither a TV.
