Description
I live in Åland, The Aland Islands, in Scandinavia. Åland is an autonomy belonging to Finland with own parliament and government. 30 000 people in a beautiful archipelago with thousends of islands.
I live in the countryside, in Käringsund in Eckerö at the very west of the islands.
My home is a traditional old cottage with a large garden. I need help with different projects, mainly outdoors.
The weather can be everything from sunny days with + 10-15 C degrees to wet ones around zero.
You share my home with me with your own bedroom in the house. (In autumn 2027 I plan to have a separate guest house renovated and, if so, you can choose staying there).
Käringsund is a beautiful place close to the open sea. If you like you can make great hiking tours in the surroundings. There are daily bus connections to town.
I am 71, have travelled a lot, love foreign cultures and meeting new people.
I accept smokers, not drugs.

You will have an opportunity to learn to know this very special demilitarized autonomy. If possible I will take you around the main island and show you the major sights.
I can also teach some Swedish if wanted. -

Accommodation
One bedroom with a sofa bed.
I provide all the meels, mostly based on local ingredients. I eat almost everything myself but cooking vegetarian is no problem. -
What else ...
I expect my guests to be openminded with no prejudices. This is a tolerant, bohemian home where laugh and discussions about everything is welcome.
But your evenings can be lonely so you need to get along with that. I have some books in English.
If you travel from the continent the best way to get to Åland is via Stockholm where you can take a connecting bus to a ferry in Grisslehamn. After two hours you are in Eckerö where I meet. The ticket costs less than 20 euros. -

Titte is a kind, rare and special person. She allow me to live a great experience.
The job is totally manual, but I love to arrive at the end of day a little bit phisically tired and mentally relaxed. The garden is quite big and totally beautiful.
