    Description

Welcome to our jungle haven in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica 🌿🌊

My name is Domino, and I’m a holistic nurse, healer, and single mother of three vibrant, creative, and curious children aged 4, 7, and 11. We live in a soulful home nestled in the lush Caribbean jungle just minutes from stunning beaches, howler monkeys, sacred rivers, and a thriving multicultural community.

What I love most about this land is the aliveness, the birdsong, the rhythm of the ocean, the tropical fruits growing in our yard, and the powerful sense of connection that comes from living close to nature. There’s a magic here that’s hard to describe until you’ve felt it.

We’re in the heart of a conscious, creative, and diverse area filled with herbalists, healers, artists, and permaculture enthusiasts. There's a deep respect for the earth, Afro-Caribbean roots, and indigenous traditions that shape life here. Volunteers often find this place to be a personal retreat as much as it is a work exchange.

About Us and the Help We’re Looking For
As a solo mama, I’m seeking kind, grounded, and reliable people to help with a variety of tasks, including:

Light childcare and creative play with my kids
Homeschool support or tutoring (especially in Spanish/English/math/arts)
    Gardening and permaculture projects
    General house help and organizing
Cooking or meal prep (especially if you love wholesome, nourishing food!)
Occasional help with community events or healing workshops
We welcome people who are self-aware, open-hearted, and excited to be part of an intentional and evolving family rhythm. If you’re passionate about nature, children, wellness, and conscious living, this could be a soul-aligned match.

    Who's Involved
Besides me and the kids, we often have local friends and practitioners coming through to share meals, stories, or lend a hand. My children are outgoing, respectful, and used to being around international visitors. We speak both English and Spanish at home.

Occasionally, I work in the healing arts or offer group experiences and retreats, and you might be invited to support or join in, depending on your interests and comfort level.

We’re not just looking for help, we’re inviting you into a rhythm of shared living, mutual respect, and connection.

Attend local cacao ceremonies, dance nights, drum circles, or beach gatherings
Explore farmers’ markets, rivers, waterfalls, and sacred spots with the kids
Participate in or observe wellness workshops I may be hosting (like KAP sessions, women’s circles, or community healing spaces)
Join local permaculture meetups, yoga classes, or artisan fairs

    Skills & Knowledge We Share
You’ll experience how we live a lifestyle centered around:
    Conscious parenting
Holistic health, herbal remedies, kinesiology, and intuitive healing
Slow living, self-regulation, and creative expression
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) communication and cultural awareness
Emotional intelligence, co-regulation with kids, and nervous system care
Life in a matriarchal, heart-led household in the Caribbean jungle

    💫What We Hope to Learn
We deeply value cultural exchange and are always excited to learn about:
New languages, traditions, music, and recipes from your culture
Your life philosophy, creative gifts, and personal stories
How other families, educators, or healers live and flow
Any skills you bring, whether that’s art, cooking, carpentry, storytelling, or simply your presence

Our home is a sanctuary in motion, and each Workawayer leaves their imprint. Hosting travelers from around the world helps my children grow up with a sense of global family, openness, and connection to something greater.
