We have a very fun and exciting new project! My family and I (I am a English and my wife is Colombian and we have two kids 9 and 11 years old, a dog, two cats and two goats) have been running our eco-hostel, whose accommodation is yurts, geodomes, tents and a gypsy wagon, on rented land for the last 6 years. We have now closed the hostel, bought a farm and are in the process of building a new hostel. We will be building: a pond, a kitchen, a campng roof, a social area with hammocks, paths and steps, a goat house and enclosure. We are also planting trees, a veggie garden and doing basic landscaping. We need as much help as we can get so we hope to have 3-5 volunteers at any one time. We hope to open the new hostel by christmas this year.

We offer a free (large) breakfast and accommodation. For the other meals, volunteers cook their own in the shared kitchen. We ask for 4 hours help per day. Volunteers can take 1 full day off per week, although they would need to help the first hour if they want breakfast.

There is loads to do in the area: hiking, rivers, waterfalls and extreme sports and you will plenty of time to do them during the day.

The hostel is remote but accessible, 10mins walk from the bus route. Buses pass every 15 mins to San Gil (15 mins away) , Barichara (20mins away) and Villanueva (20 mins away) .

We expect all our volunteers to treat their fellow workers and our family with courtesy and respect.
