We live semi-offgrid on a 20 acre farm in a traditionally built log home with wood burning stoves. We moved here in the spring of 2015 to build a hamlet of natural homes and live off the land following the One Planet guidelines used by Lammas ecoVillage in Wales. Already established are apple trees, grape vine, raspberry, redcurrant and gooseberry bushes which we intend to extend following food forest principles. The farm includes three barns, water well, two ponds and about 3 acres of mixed woodland.

Gardening work is wide and varied from scything the meadow and picking fruit all the way up to managing the woodland. When we are building the techniques used will be with natural materials like stone, roundwood timbers, straw and clay.

If you are visiting soon you'll be living in the house with us in a common room for visitors but you are welcome to pitch a tent if you prefer. Once we have converted one of the barns to a cottage that will provide additional accommodation.
