Description
We are a German family who moved to Sweden nearly three years ago to pursue a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Living on half a hectare of land, we are a patchwork family with three children and two dogs, two goats, enjoying a somewhat secluded but beautiful setting. Our home is within walking distance of the stunning Lake Mien and not far from the Baltic Sea. What we love most about our life here is the deep connection to nature and the peaceful surroundings. If you’re looking for an experience immersed in nature, away from the hustle and bustle, we’d love to welcome you!

For over a year now, we have been welcoming guests to our small guesthouse and have discovered how much joy it brings us. We love connecting with people and exchanging ideas. Claudius has a strong interest in politics, while Ina is more spiritually inclined. Ina is a certified alternative practitioner for psychotherapy and a breathwork coach, offering emotional release sessions.
We speak German, English, Polish, and a bit of Swedish. Meeting new, wonderful people constantly teaches us new things and helps us stay open-minded. We’d love to show you around, enjoy a barbecue together, sit by the fire, or explore the lake with our paddleboards.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We need help with a variety of tasks, including gardening, cooking, animal care, planting, small projects, preserving our harvest, cleaning (only our house, not the guesthouse), and occasionally entertaining the kids, running errands, or driving. We also have some projects planned.
We will tackle most of the things together, but there are also tasks that you can do on your own. The tasks are not related to our guest house rental.Languages

Claudius speaks German, English and Polish. Ina speaks German, English and a little Swedish. Our children speak German, Swedish and a little English. They are very interested in the Spanish language.Accommodation
You will usually stay in our cozy little guesthouse right next to our home, where you’ll have all the comforts you need. It features a private kitchen, a bathroom with underfloor heating, and a charming living and sleeping area.
If you're visiting in the summer, you're welcome to camp on our property (we can provide a tent) or stay in your campervan.
You’re free to use the guesthouse kitchen or ours, but we also love sharing meals together. Our family eats mostly vegetarian, and we try to cook fresh as much as possible. What else ...
The surrounding nature is perfect for relaxing, enjoying creative hobbies, or taking a refreshing swim in the beautiful Lake Mien.
Our property is also ideal for families with children, and we’re open to hosting someone with a well-behaved dog.
Since we live in a secluded area, a driver’s license is necessary. If needed, you can borrow a car from us by arrangement. There are no buses or trains nearby, but we’re happy to pick you up from the nearest train station upon arrival.A little more information
