  Description

  Hey! We're Jean and Kathy, and our son Emilián, we are the owners of a language academy in the city of Ambato in Ecuador. We teach our students English, French, and German with official certificates that they can use to travel, live, work or study abroad. We want our students to learn a language not only by understanding the boring (but necessary) stuff like Grammar but also by actually speaking the language they chose. That's exactly why we are looking for workawayers that can help our students practice their conversation skills and have a cultural exchange with them. They'll definitely LOVE to meet people from all over the world and maybe they could even be encouraged and motivated to pursue their dreams abroad by meeting you!
  
  We are literally minutes away from different volcanoes and 1 hour away from the closest point to the sun on earth the Chimborazo volcano. In this place you'll be able to go to beautiful mountains right in the Andean region, you can kayak in a lagoon that's actually in the crater of an ancient volcano while sightseeing Llamas and Alpacas. There are TONS of beautiful places to visit around Ambato!

  You'll be able to know people from the countryside with hard labor as well as people from the city and their way of life in the Andean region. You'll share experiences and get to listen to their stories. You'll get to know places and the culture of an Andean country in a way that regular tourists wouldn't. Of course, you'll be able to also know incredible places and try local food. In general, you'll pretty much experience every local aspect of Ambato.

  Help

  You are literally ONLY required to TALK and have conversations with our students so they can practice with you their communication skills. Sometimes you'll be the leader of activities with our students, they may include things like Arts and crafts, storytelling, games, and more. Of course, every activity that you'd do will be informed and prepared by us in advance.

  Accommodation

  You'll stay in our apartment with a private room, a private restroom (the shower IS shared with us), and a kitchen that you may use whenever and however you need it. You'll have access to the laundry with a washing machine as well. We will provide you with 2 meals a day (Breakfast and lunch) but if you want to cook your own food that's completely fine!

  We live like 5 minutes away from a new bus terminal that you can use to go to the nearby volcanoes (literally minutes away from home) you can go to Baños (known as the adventure city of Ecuador only 45 minutes to an hour away from home) where you can have a lot of fun doing kayaking, rappel, bungee jumping, rafting, ziplines between trees and mountains, the swing at the end of the world, the waterfalls route, thermal baths and so much more...

  I do have a place to park however it is shared with a neighbor. Even though there are 2 spots you may be required to move the vehicle so the neighbor can access his spot.
