    Description

I am in need of two types of help over the next six months.

    - I have some trips planned in July and August. During these dates I am looking for house sitters to take care of my cabin, plants and pets:

    - My partner and I are also working on my ruin this summer/autumn. During these dates we need help with various elements of natural building including making lime mortars, building a stone wall, some carpentry, traditional roofing etc!

    22nd June - 23rd July (building/renovation work)
    23rd July - 15th August (housesit)
    28th August - 8th September (housesit)
    September/October tbc (building work)

If you would like to spend some peaceful time in nature, not far from the coast, learning about natural/traditional building methods and generally having a nice time while doing it - please send me a message :-)

Sorry for the very low response rate, workaway messages go straight to my junk mail and I can't seem to change it. I will be checking back regularly for a while now!

    ---

I am Rosie, living with my dog and two kittens on a beautiful piece of land on the Silver Coast in Portugal. Along with my partner, I am renovating the old ruin slowly but surely, and in the meantime I live in a converted shipping container and a yurt. I am fully off-grid with a solar set-up and water storage.

You will experience daily life on a small, off grid set up. Perhaps you have a dream of starting a similar project and would like to dip a toe first! Or maybe you would just like to spend some time amongst the trees, reading, writing, working on your own projects... or doing not much at all... :-)

    Help

During housesits, I only ask that you take care of the animals and water a few plants. No skills needed but you will need an enthusiasm for outdoor/off-grid living.
