    Description

We are family business based in Cannich, a small village in the Highlands of Scotland. We are looking for a couple or people who would like to live on our small holding in Cannich and work in the hospitality industry.

We have a cafe in Cannich, it is situated in a very picturesque area of the Highlands. We require a chef and front of house manager to work in the cafe, the chef would need to be organised and excited to use local seasonal produce and be creative with adding specials to our menu. The front of house manager would need to be welcoming, friendly and be able to communicate well with customers.

We have an outdoor catering part to our business and although based from Cannich, we travel to events and festivals in Scotland. This is usually on weekends, so for example we stay over at the event location for 2/3 nights and then return home to Cannich to enjoy some rest and time on the farm. This gives the opportunity to see Scotland, the events that are held here and the different cultures.

We live in a small, friendly village in Scotland where our family farm is, you will have the opportunity to work and live with like minded people on our farm. We understand working and living in a small village may be quite different for other people, we as a family like to have family meals, bbq's by the river and relax on the farm when we are not busy and you would always be welcome to join us. Whilst working in the local cafe this will give you the opportunity to learn and practice English, gain waiting, hosting and cooking skills. This is also a good opportunity to work with others from the local village and make friends. Our other business allows you to travel to different places in Scotland. Learning local history and also attending popular festivals where you can experience traditional Scottish music, food and culture. Whilst living and working at the farm you can learn about feeding the animals, how to care for them and also take part in alpaca trekking. From hosting we would like to learn how your home culture differs to ours, find out about where you are from, what it is like to live there, maybe find some new recipes or ways to work/live.
