Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Both myself and my husband Peter have travelled extensively and enjoy the opportunity to be able to meet with other travellers, and provide an insight to the NZ lifestyle. We want our boys to also have experiences of other cultures from a young age.

Help
On the orchard we need various help at different times of the year around the property as there is always something to be done.
Soon it is harvest time for our Chestnuts trees which involves collecting washing and grading the nuts. We also have a number of Feijoa trees and need to pick fruit from these in April/May.
Other times of the year we always have mowing, weeding and other property work to be done at various times. In 2019 after the chestnut harvest is over we have a number of trees to cut down so we can clear our house site and make room for some avocado trees that we will pant over coming years. Occasionally we may need help in and around the house.Languages spoken

Accommodation
We have a sleep out (the Pod) close to the house which can accommodate a couple or two singles, and bathroom facilities are shared with us. We provide three meals a day and want our guests to make themselves at home.
What else ...
Our orchard to located in the Bay of Plenty with easy access to Tauranga & Mount Maunganui. We are close to a number of beautiful beaches and bush walks and waterholes in the Kaimai ranges.

They did any amazing job with anything we asked them to do and were incredible with the boys. Pete enjoyed being able to talk about music with Alex. We are really looking forward to seeing more of them while they stay close by and work with us for the chestnut season.
