Description
We are a governmental English program, started in 2016 the program teaches English to townspeople who want to learn English without any cost. a multicultural social program which is aimed to improve the participant's life project through interactions with different cultures.
The program works visiting schools, the selected workawayers would support the regular English sessions in schools and also would support the sessions of the program with the community, the program duration is 4 weeks, but workawayers can stay for 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks, the starting date is July the 2nd, the level of the participants is A1 to A2.
Most of the population is rural townspeople and kids who want to improve their English level, and interact with different cultures. No teaching profile is necessary, an English level of at least C1 or equivalent is necessary, the activities are role games and fun activities.

Sopó is a safe quiet community, very friendly and welcoming, you can explore the territory, you can do some extreme sports; 30 minutes away from Colombia’s capital, you’ll also have the opportunity to practice your Spanish with one of the best spoken Spanish in the world: Bogotá.

The selected workawayers will support the regular school and program sessions, through activities already prepared to do so, (games, role playing games, songs, talking about your experiences) it’s important to know that the selected people won’t be actually teaching English but interacting with our students, we’re always open to receive new ideas, or if you have any activity for this purposes you can apply them.

Accommodation
The selected workawayers will have comfortable accommodation in one of the townspeople’s house very close to the activities place, seven days a week, breakfast, lunch, dinner included, and transportation to the work place.

Sopó’s Temperature is 14 °C, it’s 30 minutes away from “Estación de Transmilenio” a massive transportation midway which connects all the city, wherever you go, you can easily return to the hosting place.
During you free time you can travel to Bogotá and enjoy a cosmopolitan city and one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Latin America. The capital city of Colombia offers an incredible variety of cultural activities, exciting nightlife and stunning mountain scenery.
The work with the schools and community will be Tuesday to Saturday hosting offered is available the seven days of the week, as well as three meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, the rest of the days you’ll have time to do all the activities you want.
