Hi everyone!
I'm British and live with my Indonesian husband in the beautiful village of Tetebatu, Lombok, in the foothills of Mount Rinjani. We run a small local travel business and love sharing the real Lombok with visitors.
We are passionate animal lovers and have one rescue cat who is a little shy but very sweet once he gets to know you. We also care for several friendly local street dogs and feed them every day.
We're looking for a trustworthy, caring person or couple who would enjoy staying in our home while we take a short break together for around one two two weeks.
If you love animals, nature and experiencing authentic village life, we'd love to hear from you. -

Tetebatu is one of Lombok's most beautiful areas, surrounded by rice terraces, waterfalls and the forests of Mount Rinjani National Park. Our house is just a five-minute walk from the rice fields.
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic village life, meet local people, enjoy beautiful walks, visit waterfalls, see black monkeys in the nearby forest and learn about traditional farming. If you enjoy photography, hiking or simply escaping busy tourist areas, you'll love it here. -
Help
The main help is looking after our lovely cat by feeding him, giving him company and making sure he's happy while we're away.
We also feed a small number of local street dogs once a day. They are used to us and are friendly, so this is simply a matter of giving them food and fresh water.
This is a relaxed Workaway with plenty of free time to enjoy the area. We're looking for responsible people who genuinely enjoy animals and will treat our home with care and respect. -

Accommodation
You'll have your own comfortable bedroom in our clean, simple village house. It isn't luxurious, but it's a typical Indonesian home with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
You'll have Wi-Fi, a kitchen, and a chance to experience everyday life in a traditional Sasak village. -
What else ...
Tetebatu is one of Lombok's hidden gems – peaceful, green and surrounded by rice terraces, waterfalls and the beautiful foothills of Mount Rinjani. It's the perfect place to slow down, relax and experience authentic village life away from the busy tourist areas.
There are lovely local cafés and traditional warungs, along with small shops for anything you need. While we're away, you'll prepare your own meals, but we're happy to recommend our favourite places to eat and where to buy fresh local produce.
If you're looking for a genuine cultural experience, enjoy nature and love animals, we think you'll feel right at home here. -
