Hello, we are Meta, Alec & Ace, Meta is 30 years old Dutch and I'm 34 years old Lebanese, Ace is our dog he is only 9 months old !
Me & Meta crossed paths in our travels in Nepal a year ago, among the so many things we have in common, building an eco friendly sustainable dream home set our future destination and plan, here we are in Ecuador and just bought a beach front land in Mompiche which is a small fishing village on the Northern coast, Mompiche is very simple yet very beautiful. Famed for its world-class waves and gorgeous 7km-long strip of pristine sand beach, this little fishing village has long been popular with backpackers and surfers for its good waves, and cheap eats and lodgings. Mompiche had barely been touched by the modern world.
About the project, after a long research and browsing through the many available methods of eco friendly & sustainable buildings techniques we decided to go with the dome structure and use aircrete blocks " which is is an eco-friendly building material, made from natural raw materials such as: sand (or fly-ash), cement, lime, gypsum, aluminium powder and water. This mix creates an aerated concrete providing insulation, structure and fire protection "
we got inspired by DomeGaia methods, for more info you can visit their website for better understanding of aircrete dome home building techniques
