Our farm is secluded yet within short drive or even bike to a cooling mountain river pond; 30 min to a beautiful Caribbean beach; city attractions such as Old San Juan, 40 min drive. We are also connected to the agro-ecological community of Puerto Rico and can arrange access to their attractive natural spaces including remote mountain rivers.
Our own organic farm is nested in 20 acres of native plants, flowers, trees and amazing birds. It is quiet to sleep/rest, enjoy clean fresh air. The house has six bedrooms and three bathrooms, five of which are available to guests, helpers, visitors. Common spaces include ample kitchen, laundry room, two dining areas, library room, terraces, gardens, forest all around (and a creek too!).
Owner/manager is semi-retired and makes a point to balance farm responsibilities/work with occasional outings to beaches, mountain rivers, go to local live music events, visit urban spaces like beautiful Old San Juan, visit and spend time with friends. Owner/manager may occasionally travel abroad requesting guests and workawayers to implement management plan on their own.

Public transportation in PR is mostly limited to metro areas, however, in your time off owner/manager can coordinate to run errands at a time convenient for you to be dropped off at nearest bus/train/public-van or 'guaguita' stop (about 15 minutes away) so you can explore on your own. There will always be times when manger/owner goes to beach, river, old town and then is possible for two people to share (pick up truck max capacity is two people besides driver) and arrange meeting somewhere to come back to the farm if independent exploration is at stake. Airport pick up/return will be arrange for workawayer (45 min ride).

Note there is no Wifi on site at the moment (we are working on it).
We expect workawayers to help out with agricultural and non-agricultural work a total of 12 hours a week that can be arrange flexibly to fit other activities: social, sightseeing, field trips as to enjoy Puerto Rico's many wonderful sites.
Perhaps useful to remember that nothing is written in stone so please do not hesitate to discuss any individual arrangement to accommodate a satisfactory, healthy and meaningful exchange.
