Hello! My name is Tony, 52, and I moved to North Germany from England in 2011 and now live in Blumenthal, a small village about 10 minutes from Kiel.
I share my home with two cats, a few chickens and occasionally a dog called Milo. I love meeting people from different countries and learning about their cultures and languages - you know, what everyone says on Workaway ;-) . My mother tongue is English, but I am fluent in German as well.
Internet: Only with LAN cable in the dining room. No WiFi. Mobile phone coverage is poor but probably usable.
I'm looking for one or two people for about a week to help in my one acre (4000 sq m) garden.
If you'd like to know anything, feel free to send me a message. Look forward to hearing from you :-)

Creating/ Cooking family meals
Help around the house
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Jobs to do:
Mucking-out chicken shed, collecting eggs
Watering flower pots in and out
Watering vegetables if necessary
Cleaning and preparing holiday apartment upstairs
Sanding and painting wood on terrace
Harvesting potatoes and other vegetables
Repaper and paint bedroom
Repair outbuilding roof
Cleaning path to front door
You will have your own bedroom, and washbasin, but will have to share my bathroom for bath and shower. If there is no-one staying in the self-contained apartment upstairs, you may use this.
As I live in a small village, transport connections are not very good. It is pretty quiet here, but if you want more action, there are occasional buses into Kiel or I can occasionally drop you at the local station. Or we may be able to do some trips together.
