Looking for Military Veterans! Seeking a helping hand who enjoys working with people, animals in a relaxing farm setting.

We moved to Belize from Texas about 8 years ago and purchased a 65 acre farm in Bullet Tree Falls, Cayo. Along with myself, my son and my 89 year old dad, we have reclaimed an existing fruit farm from the bush. Our vision is to remain organic as far as our fruit and veggies go and are always in need of an extra hand. We are located in the most beautiful part of Belize (in my opinion) with great views and even greater people. Many of the most popular Belizean tours that tourists pay a lot for are nearby and we get them for free or at a VERY reduced rate.

Should you become part of our farm family, we will need your help with the day to day farm work including caring for the animals. This includes horses, goats, dogs, and chickens. I need hard working flexible people. There will be plenty to opportunity to garden as well.

We recently decided to sell this farm and buy another. I need help in getting this place ready to sell. Preparing the gardens and landscaping will be part of the preparation for the sale of the farm.

Starting the new farm will be a great opportunity for those interested in getting in on the ground level of the new project. The new farm will be a clean slate and allow us to be as creative as we want.

Right now, we really need self-starters with skills in carpentry, landscaping, farming, animal husbandry, and agriculture.

Since I am in the US a lot for now, I am looking for potential long term volunteers to help run the new farm. This project will eventually house university students and be a Air B&B when not used by the university.

Once up and running, I will need reliable people with a good work ethic to be the right hand for my partner Richard while I'm away. If you love animals, enjoy farming, have a good work ethic and are up for a challenge, I would like to hear from you!

Along with many fruit trees, we are extending our garden, landscaping, and chopping bush. We now have a vanilla orchard. There is also chores to be done in and around the barn. We have "A LOT" of dogs and a few goats along with chickens. We are in the process of constructing buildings and will also need volunteers willing to help with that as well. Everyone shares in daily chores. We work as a team here.

(We desperately need someone with landscaping experience. We also need those with building, painting, and cleaning skills as well as someone longer term to care for animals.)
