    Description

My names are Vanessa, 24year old Zambian. I am a single mum, student and Founder of the Foundation a registered nonprofit none governmental organization. We are disability-inclusive and all our activities and premises are a discrimination free zone, this means we will serve people from various walks of life.

    AIM
The Foundation will be a link between the health care system and the hard to reach rural population as well as the urban poor through a basic “mobile health care and information” scheme. In all our programs, we prioritize the teenage mother and her child/children as well as orphans and vulnerable children as the prime beneficiary, such pro-grams may include counseling, advocacy and nutrition, skills training and capacity building. We aim to promote and protect the rights of people living with HIV, advocate for the rights of the disabled and create opportunities for the less privileged. In doing so we hope to give our beneficiaries a chance to realize their worth and reach their maximum potential in our society and community in which they live.

    OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Standing in unity and love to improve lives one heart at a time.

    OUR TARGET GROUPS
    1. Teenage Mothers
    2. Incarcerated community
    3. Victims of child marriage
    4. School leavers
    5. HIV/AIDS community
    5.1 HIV/AIDS in the workplace
    5.2 HIV/AIDS and special needs

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our organization serves the rural poor, volunteering to work with us will give you first hand information and experience of diverse cultures and learn as many as 72 languages, 20 annual traditional ceremonies as our country Zambia has a rich culture with 10 provinces divided into 72 districts with beautiful languages and beautiful people. Zambia is very peaceful and safe. It is also the home of the Mighty Victoria falls locally known as Mosi-o-tunya "the smoke that thunders" one of the worlds natural wonders. We have wildlife in 20 national parks. We have 3 major river, many smaller rivers, vast lakes and the enormous man made Kariba dam. Other than the tourist factor associated with volunteering in Zambia, there's the satisfaction of belonging to a reputable organization such as ourselves. The world needs you and I to be the change we want to see in the world.

"GARDENING" We started a nursery garden with a variety of vegetables, we desperately need people with agricultural knowledge to farm and care for a potion of land that was given to us this is for our nutrition project. Because our offices are located at a private school, we are in agreement with the school owner to pay $300 and maintain the school surrounding including landscaping, decorations, tree planting etc for this we need people to help in "GENERAL MAINTENANCE". TEACHING" We intend to open a skills training center, to train vulnerable mothers, school leavers and elderly citizens in various skills such as carpentry, sewing and tailoring etc to help alleviate poverty in affected communities as such skills could potentially improve ones economic status. "CHARITY WORK" this section involves a lot, from field work (visiting villages), care giving, administrative work, research, resource mobilization, sensitization etc. "OTHER" we need as much financial help as possible, this is for the daily running of the organization and for our sustainability projects which we hope to implement as soon as possible, our self sustainability projects include fish ponds, animal rearing, poultry farming, and other enterprise to enable the organization reach a self sustainable level financially in order to not rely on donor aid or donations, we plan to implement all projects within a feasible time frame. We appreciate any help that comes our way as long as it is in line with our strategic objectives.
