Description
** Looking mainly for couples for Sept/Oct 2024 for some childcare, garden work and house DIY projects :)
We are a multicultural family German/Italian Mom '32 (Yasmin), Indian/American Father '34(Gundeep), and our 8 yo son living in the Netherlands. We currently live in the calm village of Loosdrecht, which is part of the Lake District of the Netherlands.
Gundeep has been a Workawayer in Sweden a many years ago, he loved his experience so much so that he decided to also host people since we have more space in our house now. Our house is 5 mins walk to the beautiful forests of t'Gooi and 10 mins bike on the other side to the beautiful lakes of Loosdrechtse Plassen. So if you love nature, then you would have a great time.
Help: We are building a regenerative garden in our 45 m2 backyard (where we like to grow food) which requires help. Someone with gardening permaculture experience could be super helpful. Besides that, in the winter months, there is less work in the garden so we could also use some help with cooking, tidying the house, and playing with our 8-year-old son. He is a very enthusiastic and curious child who speaks 4 languages (Italian, English, Dutch & German).
We are mostly vegetarian and love to eat healthy food mostly picking up ourselves from the local farm. Yasmin is a biologist with a focus on Bio-Inspired Innovation and does yoga and meditation every day, so if that is something you are into, you are welcome to join. Gundeep is a Software Engineer who works hard during the week and loves to enjoy the weekends with family, relax and explore new places.
We are a very loving family and have traveled around the world quite a bit (40+countries) and understand what it takes to live with someone else. We want to make the stay as comfortable as possible and the overall Netherlands is a beautiful place to live and travel. Between all of us, we speak 7 languages in our family. English, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Hindi, and Punjabi. So you are welcome to practice if you would like :)Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
Both I and my partner are busy individuals with our work and are also working on side projects. This means we would love for someone to help us with some DIY projects and gardening in our backyard. We would also like someone who can spend some time doing creative things with our son, he is quite an easy-going child who loves to explore and play.

The communication was good beforehand, and they picked me up from the trainstation. While I was there, I had a great room on the top floor for myself. My tasks were very diverse and flexible, sometimes cooking, helping with the garden and playing… read more
