    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You will be part of a small chairty meeting my family, workers and volunteers as well as getting hands on experience on a horse rescue on Bundjalung Country in the beautiful Byron Bay shire.
We will have conversations and look forward to you helping the horses with your kind, gentle and loving approach. You will also learn about animals in a very deep and aware way and be invited to be part of horse meditations.
Being an animal rescue, and lovers of animals, we don't eat animals. Our household is vegan and we do not cook and eat animals on the property. Eating in this high vibrational, healthy and kind way is another wonderful experience that may be new to you.

We will provide vegan foods and ask that you prepare your own meals. (vegetables, fruit, rice, pasta, noodles, tea, coffee, bread, peanut butter etc, ingredients to make smoothies.
We will ideally share some meals that will be provided and eat together a couple of times a week if you would like to.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There are beautiful walking and bike riding trails. There is a local store 1.35 km away that sells food and coffee.
It's best to have a car, however we can arrange to drive you into Mullumbimby on days off - or you can come along when we do trips into town.
From Mullumbimby there is bus service to Byron Bay.
We are a drug and mostly alcohol free property. The occasional wine with dinner is fine - we just want wholesome people who will genuinely enjoy the beautiful animals surroundings.
We do have an indoor dog and cat.
We have a fireplace to keep cosy in Winter time and a season crystal clear creek - shallow yet beautiful to lie in and let the pure water cleanse your body. The closest beach is Brunswick Heads.
Ideally you would have a vehicle to visit local waterfalls, markets etc, however you will still have a lovely time without one and we will do our best to help.
