Hi we are a friendly family living on a beef farm in the far north of NZ only 12kms from Kaitaia. We have 3 boys aged 7,9 and 11yrs who are very happy and energetic. Also various animals like cats, dogs, horses, and some calves.
Our lives are very busy with running the farm and running around after 3 kids which is why we are looking for some extra help during the busy calving season.
You will be made very welcome in our house and we will do everything to ensure you have a wonderful time with us.
Babysitting and creative play
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Help around the house
You will benefit from this cultural exchange by spending time with our family and learning how we live in rural NZ.
Also it is a good way to learn our language if thats what you want.
There is the opportunity to explore the Far North while staying with us as well.
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
We are looking for singles or couples who can help with some farm tasks like feeding out hay or shifting break fences (no previous experience necessary) also with feeding calves. And some help inside with cooking and light cleaning duties as well as looking after and playing with kids. It is essential to enjoy being around children and animals.
The accommodation provided is a seperate sleepout with a queen bed and shower and toilet.
3 meals a day will be provided, we eat meat from our own farm.
You will have weekends free to look around the north. There are buses available from Kaitaia to go places if you have no transport also Paihia and the Bay of Islands is only 1 hour away with plenty to see and do there.
