Description
Welcome to our community, out in jocoqui, Aguascalientes. A place where the city noise disappears, and all birds, animals, and nature are alive, breathing around you.
This is a sacred spot, discovered by Gustavo, who dreamed this space into being, and Ricardo, who’s joined him to bring this vision to life.
I do want to specify that this is the first time ever that we are opening our doors to volunteers. We are a brand new holistic center that’s finally ready to build its community.
We’ve just built a chicken den, temazcal, museum for alien artifacts, and rooms have been updated and furnished. Now we’re starting on building a pyramid. Of course, there’s many other projects that need your help like painting, gardening, creating events, and more.
I’m Ricardo, and I’ll be here at the retreat space, guiding you along the way. This place is a place for those of you walking that spiritual path, building a business that’s soul aligned, or for those of you who are simply looking to be a part of a greater vision.
We’re here to help people, to build a community where everyone’s empowered. Not just showing up to feed chickens or water plants, though yeah, we’ll do those little things, those small projects to help us grow.
But it’s way bigger than that. It’s about you adding your spark, your gifts. If you’re a yoga teacher, share a class. If you guide meditations, do that. Or if you have a powerful story or a creative idea on how you can add to our vision, share it! Allow yourself to add your spark. You’re not just volunteering, you’ll be a part of our family.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You’ll be welcomed into a dynamic blend of Mexican traditions and global spiritual practices. You’ll experience the warmth of Aguascalientes’ local culture and heartfelt community gatherings, while engaging in our retreat’s holistic activities like meditation, yoga, and energy healing. This exchange will broaden your perspective, teaching you to weave mindfulness and cultural appreciation into your daily life. You’ll learn to navigate the world with a deeper sense of presence, drawing from the rich tapestry of spirituality and the diverse backgrounds of fellow Workawayers and retreat guests.
What We’ll Teach You: You’ll gain practical skills in running a retreat center while also having the tools to live intentionally, in alignment with your deepest values.
What We Hope to Learn from You: Your stories, cultural practices, business skills, or any other unique skills are welcomed.
Help
You'll cook, following a shared schedule, making meals for everyone. You'll feed the chickens, tend the garden, weed, harvest, paint. Clean what needs cleaning and other tasks.
But really, this is about showing up as you: teach a yoga class if that's yours. Lead a meditation. Tell your story around the fire. Whatever your soul is asking you to express, you are welcome to do it!
