Description
We recently moved onto a little lifestyle farm just out of Carterton, in the Wairarapa (1.5hrs North of Wellington). We live with our teenage sons. We work part time. My husband Saali is a music teacher and musician and I'm a strategy and policy consultant with a focus on the environment. The rest of the time we try to grow and prepare food we grow here on our 10 hectares.
I'm originally from Germany and we love the cultural exchange of hiding outdoor from around the world.
We can do with a hand most of the time.
We've got a guest room with a double bed and can always drop you off she railway station if you're traveling by train or want to mix rural and city experience.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Happy to have you join family life with a range of experience of outdoor and indoor work. We love living rurally but feel connected to Winton and arts and culture there. We are a German-Kiwi family and have done a bit of traveling.

Help
We are establishing large vegetarians and are expanding our orchard. We've got a range of animals: chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep as well as dogs and a cat that we can always use help with.
We are currently renovating our home and barn.
We are also distilling traditional spirits from surplus fruit.Languages

We'd be cooking for everyone and you'd be welcome to cook for us. We tend to eat dinner together. What else ...
The Wairarapa is full of awesome nature walks like those at Mount Holdsworth and coastal trips for fishing and surfing. Wellington is a cool little capital, accessible by train.
