Description
Vreni(69) is Swiss and I, Rolf(72), am German by origine. We met here on the island and have been living here since 1975/77.
We bought our present farm in 81, built our home almost out of pure obtainium and lived of the land.
Our two daughters were born here and now study abroad.
During nearly 30 years we worked together in our solar++ business, because besides the idea of recycling whatever possible, the use of natural energy is our favourite .
We found 3 little huts on our land which we converted into holiday cabins for people who like it the natural way.
All of them with solar energy and biomass heating, no grid and gas just for cooking.

We live in a scenic environment, a little farm close to a village and the sea ( 8km).
We speak several languages, spanish, catalan, english, french, german, dutch.
We have been living on the island for more than 40 years and can tell you a lot about land and people.
We have an organic garden, our own water and solar/wind electricity, Rolf is an expert for renewable energy systems and other life hacks.
Vreni can tell you lots of tricks for gardening, cheesemaking, and low cost eco building and much more.
We have a large freshwater pond to swim in and we are surrounded by fields and woodland (oaks& pines).
We need help to maintain the whole lot!

Help
carpinters' skills would be welcome, electricians', too and general "handyness"
We built our hoses around recycled woodwork and the time has come that it needs urgent repair and painting.
Almost all hand and hand/electric tools are existing.
Also a tractor and tiller for the garden.
We make our own firewood and/or cut brush from the hedgerows and borders to make food for the goats and biochar, so if you are used to operate a chainsaw, it' s a +
What we are looking for is a practical person/couple who would like to stay with us for some longer time, perhaps 6 month or longer and enable us to enjoy once in a while some time off the farm ourselves !

Accommodation
Accomodation depends on the time of the year. In winter you can have one of our (empty ) cottages for yourself, during holiday season there is a separate room in our house, shared bathroom and kitchen and bicicles.
We grow most of our vegetable and have goats for milk, a small flock of sheep,chicken, geese and fish in the pond.
We eat (only our home grown) meat
What else ...
The island is about the most variable (?) places in Europe. Landscape, climate and vegetation change every few km. Blue sea all around and despite the many tourists, one can still find that lonely beach in close reach.
Steep mountains , caves and an interesting history (Talayotic ages). A lot of cultural events of many kind.
We have many friends with younger children to make friends if you want.
We had woofers 40 years ago and had very nice experiences with them.
