    Description

    Bonjour,

I am a French retired women, full of energy and interested in many different disciplines like gardening, animal care, light construction adobe works, all about the wool works like weaving, carpet knotting, natural colors, knitting, embroderies, palm leaves baskettery, etc.
I have already traveled a lot but I am still wishing to share with different cultures, languages, and ways of life.
Having been a host myself for 3 years in France, I am now living in Morrocco, I have been described like a very friendly, affectionate, sincere and positive woman, also self-taught and acting as respectfully as possible with my surroundings

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I have travelled a lot, I am very open to the world in general, cultures and since my arrival in the countryside eighteen years ago, I have been practicing various activities that I can transmit : the maintenance of a kitchen garden, garden, wool spinning, knitting, vegetal dyings, reception and maintenance of a rural lodging, care of animals (chickens, cats, dog, sometimes hive), vegetarian cooking , lime plaster, corn weaving. Knowing that, creating a kitchen garden in the desert is a big challenge !
I have been welcoming workawayers previously in France for three years before the Corona
I speak English, a little Turkish and a little German and I am taking regular lessons of Arabic here in the village.
I live now in a happy simplicity approach (short circuits and recycling as much as possible) that I can transmit too
I am now living for four years in a village in the south east of Morrocco and I am now managing a café restaurant "La Rose du Sud" in the main village at the gate of the Sahara desert.
Here life is even more simple. Adobe tent housing. Small rooms, no heating, no air-conditionning, I have already built a bathroom but my main goal for the moment is to finish the well so I can see my garden growing, especially the kitchen garden, always looking for self suffisance.
You will meet with my friends nomads, know their culture, their language, their warm welccomng, their musique.

    Help

Settled down at the gate of the Morrocan Sahara, aged 68, I am living on a large plot of land in the palmeraie of a small adobe village, I am looking for a light help for the construction of different adobe structures,, the maintenance of the garden, watering, the kitchen garden, the watering. I have a project of organizing workshop with the women of the village (weaving, embroderies and palm tree baskettery).
I can teach the wool work from the cleaning to spinning and why not knitting.
I also need someone sometimes to stay at home and take care of cats and chickens when I have to leave for a few days. And particularly for certain periods when I am away, then a family with a car would be most welcome for home sitting.

Individual room in the house or a tent outside. We live in the desert afterall.

  • What else ...

    What else ...
