    Description

    Hi!

We are a family situated in Portugal since almost 4 years. After traveling in our campervans for about 6 years we found a beautiful place in the outbacks of Aljezur, Portugal, to stay permanently.
We are totally off the grid but still by bike a 20 minutes ride away from aljezurs little town. By car 10 minutes. We live in a beautiful valley and have a small piece of land with no direct neighbours, although we have a couple of sweet neighbours living not far from us, a 5 minutes walk. From different nationalities. German, Portugese, Frensh, English, Italian, Dutch and Belgium.
Our land is situated in the higher regions of the valley, so there will be sun for a longer time. Also the sunsets are clearly visual at our place. So, Beautiful scenery to enjoy.
My Partner comes originally from Belgium and I am from The Netherlands. Our oldest daughter of 5, Flow, is born in Belgium and our youngest of 1, Jazz, has been born at home, here in Portugal.
We have a sweet dog, not big not small, called Cheetah. Our daughter Flow has called her like this because it is her favorite animal.
Soon we want to provide a place for our own chickens. Like this it is a start on growing and gradually it wil become a place of multiple living creatures to enjoy eachother. We wil get fresh eggs and they will have lots of space to enjoy. Until now we were busy building our house and settling into our new place. First, we had to provide our own electricity and water, but this is taking care of by now.
My Partner, Bert, is a handyman and electrician: Also he builds everything on our land by himself while...
I take care of the kids and teach theatre to the local kids in the town and towns surrounding Aljezur.

We have a nice big caravan , that you can lock up, provided with electricity and a little stove to put a kettle on or make a small meal. This will be the accomodation where you will be welcome to stay.
If you want a more adventures way of sleeping and living , we have different variations to make this possible.
But i would suggest to start with the nice cosy and warm caravan to make yourself as comfortable as possible.

You are deffinitely Welcome to give us a hand.

    YEAH!

    Bi Hug,
    Saskia

We are just a little family setting up ourselves a small selfsustainable livingsituation. We are also challenged by the portugese language and our young children, sometimes we feel as if we havent time enough, so we could use a little help. We want to provide for you at least 3 times a week a warm meal (3 hrs work) in the evening and you can join in with the lunches (1,5 or 2 hrs work) we have together as a family too. If you are agreeing to help us on a day we do not provide meals, we will pay you with a nice fee. All of this is up for discussion. Also the tasks are up for discussion. my partner would love to have some help in construction and building ,for the upcoming year, smaller things. We love to have help in the garden. And I would love to get help with the kids or preparing meals. If you know how to speak portugese, we totally dig this, we would love to try and speak more portugese at home. If you like tutoring, welcome to come up with portugese lessons for me and my family. This will also be considered as a contribution of helping us out.
We speak Dutch, French, German, English and a little bit/intermediate Portugese. So we can practice these languages with you too if you want.

in a week we would love you to help for us at least 10 hours

We prefer an email from you with a small introduction, then we can set up a time for a call (as our baby stil sleeps a lot and we are on the move often)

    OBRIGADA!!!

Gentle with children and dogs. Our dog is kind to other kids and animals too. Some barking towards and chasing after the wild swine is not a problem. But the barking can not be consistent and has to be able to be stopped by command. Also, pooing and peeing far from house and caravan.
