Description
My need is urgent (now) and short-term as probably only need help until end of February/early March.
I am Ali, a mother of 2 boys (6 years in March and 21 months old), self-employed running a small land-use / environmental consultancy, living in a stunning remote location miles up a HIghland glen with partner Donnie who is a head stalker/keeper/wildlife ranger for a local estate. Location is beautiful and remote, deep in the hills with plenty of fresh air and amazing scenery with villages of Kingussie (11 miles), Newtonmore (14 miles) and Aviemore (20 miles) nearby. Five year old is very sociable, a lot of fun and adores new company! Little one is a very happy and animated little chap generally, but has a mild breathing issue when distressed (entirely avoidable through simple management so experience with children is strongly preferred), still snoozes through the day so needs either buggy/stroller walking or falls asleep in the car if we are out. Also he loves to walk around or play in the park.Types of help and learning opportunities
Babysitting and creative playHelp around the houseCultural exchange and learning opportunities
Visitors will be made most welcome and can learn and experience life in one of the most stunning and remote estates in the Cairngorms, once a traditional sporting estate now focuses on wildlife and habitat management, as well as be able to learn of environmental / ecological projects undertaken by Ali if interested and come along on farm or woodland visits. Excellent outdoor opportunities (walking, hiking, biking, etc) throughout the Cairngorm area or from the doorstep and social activity in Aviemore.

Help
I am seeking someone who would be able to give me time each week day (open to options on number of hours a week or days a week a workaway wishes to help but prefer full working hours as I have deadlines to complete) to focus on my home and field-based work, by looking after the youngest child (walking in the buggy/stroller to get to sleep mostly and amusing ro fixing lunch during wake times), and helping playing with oldest boy after school and giving general minor help around the house/garden. Need someone until end of Jan and into Feb at least to fulfil work contracts. Pocket money as well as board and lodgings given and potentially some car use IF INSURANCE AFFORDABLE but to date this seems complex so own car would also be helpful but definitely not essential.
Although daylight is limited during winter, can have have time to walk, roam and see the local area. Lots of bits and bobs to do in the garden to amuse but also not essential. Opportunities to come with me on my work trips which are all local eco-projects/environmental land-based projects with the 21 month old. Keen to learn some Spanish but delighted with any nationality. :)Languages

This place is a writers dream. You follow the road running parallel to the river for eight miles to the lodge, with mountains either side. Perfect for star gazing. Talking of stars whilst there we went to the beach. The boys went swimming and hopped on a paddle board. Another occasion we where having a stroll in… read more

It's been an amazing two weeks with a lovely family. From the beginning Ali and his family made me feel at home. From Monday to Friday, my task was to help Ali with little Maghnus (he is lovely) in the mornings, either being at home or going to where she had to do her work.
Maghnus is a love with a lot of energy and it has been a… read more
