I met Célia in a workawy 5 weeks before met Andrés. In the first workaway i decided to leaved with her the place because of the host wanting to hear Célia apollogies to her, Célia is celiac and she needs to check every meal. We were looking for another places to stay, we liked to be traveling and we wanted to keep the adventure even if we fail in
… read more the first place. We were kinda in a stress to look for a workaway host and dont spend much money waiting and we read about the first comment on Andrés. We message him as a couple and he respond us quickly accepting us.
We spent 3 weeks with Andrés and his family: Andrea, his wife, she was really nice to us ofering her plates to us, they were really good and she even took care making free gluten so célia could try, she left a few days after we arrive and we didnt have time to know much about each other but she was always nice and gratefull for our job, a lovely person! ; and her daughter Miranda is 3 years and has the cutest laugh :)
The first days we spent the time working with the dogs and horses, because they were leaving and needed us to go for a walk and feed them. When they comeback we started with some gardening and maintenance, we work as the hours he asked in the page, he gave us the money for the week and drive us to a market to buy it and we cooked for ourself in an outdoor's kitchen (a lil bit cold for cooking in the night, we took our jackets :).
This workaway with Andrés is more than nice, is the workaway we were looking for, someone who help you to feel comfortable, understand you if u have a problem, faithful to his rules and gratefull with our job. He even gave us information to see the beautyfull land he lives around!
Wish you the best Andrés, Andrea and Miranda, Thank you for so much! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We spent 3 weeks at Andrés and Andrea and this was an amazing experience. We cut bushes, weeded the garden, took care of the dogs and horses for a week-end, and so much more. I got to be around the horses, did a little bit of ground work with Isla and went on walks with her and Boneca. Those two mares are incredibly good in their head and well

The nature around the quinta is wonderful. We really appreciated having our independence by having our own little house and outdoor kitchen. Andrés and his little family are incredibly nice and chill people, it was a pleasure to meet them 🌞You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I spontaneously spent 3 days at Andres place in September and I truly enjoyed working independently during the day. I mostly worked half-days and spent the other half of the day at the beach. As he had no other volunteers or guests during my time I could sleep in one of the apartments and had it for myself which was very luxurious.
Apart from
… read more some basic communication for the work instructions I did not communicate a lot with Andres or his wife, they were busy with their work and their small daughter and I enjoyed the calm and peaceful work for myself. But if you are searching for a place with a lot of interaction with the host or cultural exchange, this is maybe not the place to go to.
However, for me and for my short stay it was perfect and I might return if I come back to Portugal. Thank you!Feedback
