Description
We are a young family living in the peaceful fishing town of Eskifjörður in East Iceland, surrounded by mountains, the ocean, waterfalls, and northern lights.
Our home is more than a place to stay. It is where family life, creativity, nature, and meaningful conversations come together.
Alongside raising our daughters, we’re developing a non-commercial creative project exploring human experience, transformation, art, storytelling, and authentic living.
We have two little girls.
Our oldest daughter is four years old. She is incredibly curious about people and loves discovering the world through those she meets. She enjoys drawing, painting, dancing, music, books, nature, crafts, and imaginative play. We love welcoming guests from different cultures because every visitor becomes part of her learning about the world.
Our youngest daughter is only three months old, so sometimes we also appreciate an extra pair of hands with the baby and everyday family life.
We’re looking for kind, emotionally mature people who enjoy children and would like to become part of our daily rhythm rather than simply complete tasks.
Depending on your interests and our current needs, your help may include:
• spending creative time with our four-year-old
• helping with the baby
• light household tasks
Life here is relaxed and flexible. Some days are creative, some are quiet family days, and some are simply about enjoying Icelandic nature.
We believe the best exchanges happen when people genuinely enjoy living together rather than counting working hours. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Living with us means experiencing everyday life in a small Icelandic fishing community rather than simply visiting Iceland.
You’ll share meals, conversations, family traditions, walks, and quiet evenings by the ocean.
Our daughters meet people from different countries and cultures, and every guest becomes part of their journey of discovering the world.
At the same time, we love learning from our guests—their language, traditions, recipes, music, ideas, and life experiences. -

Accommodation
You’ll have your own comfortable room in our peaceful house overlooking the fjord.
The house has fast Wi-Fi, a shared kitchen, living room, bathroom, washing machine, and everything needed for a comfortable stay.
We provide three homemade meals a day.
There are beautiful walking trails, mountains, the ocean, and quiet places to relax just outside the door.
It’s an ideal place for writers, artists, designers, photographers, remote workers, or anyone needing space to slow down and reconnect. -
What else ...
If you love nature, you’ll probably feel at home here.
During your free time you can hike in the mountains, explore waterfalls, kayak, fish, visit nearby villages, photograph the northern lights, or simply enjoy the silence by the fjord.
We value kindness, openness, flexibility, and mutual respect more than strict schedules. -
